Journey R/T V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 65,000 miles

2nd complete transmission replacement at 65k miles (1st at just under 12k). Luckily for us, this turd came with a lifetime engine and power train warranty, so it hasn't cost us any cash out of pocket. Still, the annoyance of being without the vehicle, even thought the dealer had over 2 1/2 weeks to complete the job while we were vacationing in Germany, the car was not fixed until 3 1/2 weeks later. The dealer was able to get us a loaner car for the time we were home without it.

The transmission whines, from idling the whine is lower and as you speed up the whine get louder. Then when transmission shifts, the whine gets quitter and with more speed the whine gets louder.
