Had a 2015 Journey. Never had an issue with the car. Suddenly the gauges, radio all electrical devices in the car quit, stop at the dealer, make appointment. Wife electric starts the vehicle one cold morning and the entire dash burns/melts with no warning. The fire smothered itself out prior to my wife opening the doors and getting engulfed in smoke. Fire department showed up, foamed and sprayed the interior.

Awaiting contact from insurance on what happened.

Car had appointment 2 hours after the fire happened to get issues reviewed under extended warranty. Called dealer about issue and they appeared to expect it to happen.

Returned vehicle to dealership for repair(s). Told it was the BCM computer, computer was replaced. Angry due to this being a new vehicle. My aunt is dying from cancer in another state that is 1000 miles away, had to cancel trip. Picked vehicle up on the 21st, on the 22nd it reoccurred; will furnish that information after this one.

Update from Sep 8, 2015: 8/24/15: Returned at 1463 miles again with the same problem, this time with losing power to the vehicle. Second time canceling visiting my aunt before she passes. After two tries vehicle started took back to dealership. Dealership claimed that their was a pinched wire at G109 CKT (whatever that means). Repaired the wiring harness and verified proper voltages. Claimed it was fixed.

9/3/15: At 1800 miles I am driving on interstate 95 I lose all power to the vehicle, no brakes or steering. Almost got into an accident, with my two children and mother in the vehicle. Called dealership was told to call roadside assistance, called roadside assistance. Sat for two hours in the Florida weather waiting for a tow truck. Tow truck company was awesome! Returned the vehicle with the tow company, received a rental car, yes a car. Had to cancel the 3rd trip of trying to get to my aunt.

Update from Sep 8, 2015: Ugh... Chrysler is unreal! Still waiting to hear what they plan to do to rectify the existing problem.
