Neon 2DR 2.0L I4

  • Manual transmission
  • 120,000 miles

Recently (two days ago) found that there is a seal leak after purchasing during snow periods. There is standing water in the back and the carpet is soaked all the way to the front underneath the pedals after every storm. I am in the process about seeing to get this fixed. Due to the other reported issue for 4 doors, I am going for the trunk seals first and then moving forward as that the door seals on my 2 door model looked like they are tight. Once I get a final cost, I will update this report.

Water is leaking in from somewhere in the back... Nobody's sure if it's through the trunk, the back window, or the back doors/windows. Whenever it rains the trunk is damp, and there's a HUGE puddle (about 2 in. deep) behind the driver's seat. Apparently that's a big problem the Neons have. I'm in the process of possibly fixing the problem... I've been advised to replace the trunk's weatherstripping, re-seal the back window, and replace the strips above the back doors/windows.
