Ram 1500

Thin cracks appeared on upper right of the main radiator, fluid leaking out. Car had not sustained any accident and is a clean title. My conclusion is that inferior products/polymers were used to manufacture this radiator. This is not an aftermarket radiator, but the one that came with the vehicle from the manufacturer.

The dashboard is cracked in multiple locations and shards of hard, sharp, plastic is falling into interior. Shards are also becoming projectiles when they dislodge from dashboard. While cleaning or touching dashboard, personal injury occurs by being stabbed and/or cut by these cracks in the dashboard. No incident occurred to make this issue a user problem. No extreme hot/cold have occurred.

The dash board of my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 is falling apart. There has been no abuse to what so ever but now I have a giant holes in it and its cracking all over the place. When I took it to the dealer ship they told me that if I want it fixed its gonna cost me almost $3000 (for parts and labor). I've already cut myself on a piece of sharp broken plastic so it very well could hurt someone. Something needs to be done!

My dash on my 2002 Dodge Ram has been falling apart and dropping into my vents. It is so bad I had to put carpet over it. Now I'm having heater repairs done on it. I called Dodge and they won't do a thang about it. I have kids and both of them have cut themselves on the sharp pieces on the dash. I had to take one to the dr. Dodge needs to fix this on all the truck dashes now.

Dash is cracking in multiple points near vents and now coming across the top of passenger air bag area. There is so many fine cracks across point near windshield and vents. If air bag was to deploy I feel that shards of dash will be flying within the cab due to the way that the crack is in vicinity of airbag.

At 48,000 miles and only 3 years old my dashboard started cracking. Now it is cracked all over and starting to run down the center towards the floor. I know there are alot of complaints about the Dodge Ram dasboards and it is time they are forced to recall and fix this problem.

I have found through research of how to fix my dashboard which is now severely cracked that it's caving in, that Dodge has known about this problem for years and is not fixing. This is a safety issue as there are now sharp pieces of plastic dash that could hurt myself or passenger in an accident or other circumstances. I was trying to find how to fix my dash but now see Dodge is at least repairing some dashes or paying half towards replacing the dash. I should not have to pay to fix this problem if Dodge is now starting to fix or at least address the issue. I currently have my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500, a 2004 Chrysler town and country and a 2008 Dodge Grand Caravan and have bought at least two dozen Chrysler products and feel I have been a staunch supporter of Chrysler, even through the hard times they have had. I feel this type of loyalty I have show should be rewarded with acknowledgement on repair of my dash. I am buying a new car next year and have started looking at other makes due to some of the quality problems I am encountering on all 3 of my current Chrysler but the dashboard makes me the most upset because it has been known and not fixed for loyal customers like me or even new customers so that they will return and buy other Chrysler products in the future. Fix this dashboard problem now! it's the right way to do business with people/customers!!

The dash has been falling apart little by little. I have read other reports about this. I am a retired Chrysler auto tech, 20 years,16 self employed as a tech. I know if I see danger, you see danger. Should you and Chrysler wait until something bad happens? apparently the vender used inferior material. It surely wasn't spaceage. Thanks very much for your time.

Dashboard has cracked and pieces are falling into the electrical unit and ac units underneath the dash area. Afraid airbag will be damaged as they are not protected with the dash missing. Ac unit on passanger side is damaged and not working due to the condenser housing unit being exposed. Other electrical issues have occured like loss of function of the speedometer and all gages. Called the Ram specialist at 866.726.4636 was instructed not under warrenty and nothing they could do to help. It would be our responsibility to cover the cost of $926 plus tax at our Dodge dealership. This is a manifactor defect that should be covered by Dodge.

Dash falling apart and has damaged heater box. Defrost doesn't work which causes problems with windows fogging up. An accident waiting happen. Also causes heat and A/C not to work. Shards from the dash could cause serious injury or death from an accident. Replaced dash and heater box and same thing happened again. This is a very costly repair!

The dash of the truck started with one crack about 2 yrs ago. Now there are more than a dozen cracks. Estimated cost from me to replace the dash over $1,000. This is obviously a manufacture defect and will definitely reflect what I receive at trade in. My first and last Dodge.

The dashboard cracks by it self and I`ts rely sharp edges I`ts like is dissolving by it self and as I can see all the models from 1999 to 2006 are the same Dodge is not doing anything about it and if you have a accident with the truck sharp peaces can injure the passengers in the truck if you can do an investigation you will see that this is a urgent recall.

My dashboard has deep cracks all across the top which crack and are falling apart down into the mechanical parts of my truck. I went to Dodge and they told me they could not help, I priced this repair with a body shop and they said it would cost $350 for the dash but the labor would cost $700-800. Dodge needs to make this right my truck still runs fine, but I'm hoping I will not have any problems with air bag deployment from this as the cracks are on top of the passenger airbag as well.

The dashboard on my 2002 Dodge Ram 1500 is cracked and disintegrating. It has always been stored in a garage and the sharp edges present a severe safety hazard should the vechicle be involved in an accident. I have also cut myself on sharp edges while trying to attempt to perform maintenance on the vehicle as the dashboard is extremely brittle and breaks apart.

The dash was fine no events until Sept.2008. Opened the truck up one day to reveal a huge crack in the dash. The dash is cracking in the rate of 2 cracks in 2008 and one in 2009, one in 2010. We are up to 4 cracks now. Hasn't been fixed. I am hearing horror stories of this causing serious problems. I do not let my kids ride in it.the more it cracks the less safe we feel driving it.
