The contact was informed that she would be called once parts become available. The contact also spoke with a second dealer (lithia Chrysler of eugene, or) who stated that they had the parts available and were able to schedule the recall repair. Takata recall- immediately after receiving my recall notice, I called my local Ram dealer. I was told that they were all out of parts, but I would be placed on a waitlist to have the airbag inflator replaced. I received this mailing close to a year ago, and still, no action has been taken to remedy the situation. If this recall were not something that affects safety, I would not be having a problem with the delay, but this has to do with passenger safety, and I am extremely frustrated that there still are not enough parts to have this recall fixed.

Takata recall. I have a notice that a recall is active on my vehicle. I called the dealer to have it resolved and they say that there are no parts to make the repairs and have no idea when any will be available. The recall states that if I am in a collision and my passenger air bag deploys, that my passenger can receive injury or even death from flying pieces of metal. How in the world can we be allowed to drive around in these possible death machines and nobody seems to be doing anyhting about it."???"
