Ram 1500

My (new) '06 Ram 1500 4X4 suffered from pulsating brakes at 9K miles. Took it to the dealer and advised that my '03 Dakota had the same problem. They inspected the front brakes and confirmed the rotors had some "run out". they were resurfaced at no cost. Not long after....at 19K miles, the condition arose again. This time, I had to make a 2500 mile trip and couldn't get the truck in beforehand. The dealer "might have considered" fixing them, based on a 12mo/12,000 mile warranty from the first repair. Nevertheless, now at 22K I am told I, too, am sol. We need to contact the manufacture and urge them to consider replacement before accidents occur.

Ram 1500 4WD 8-cyl

I have a 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 quad cab with 16,000 miles. I recently discovered that the front rotors are warped and after talking to the dealership they informed me that this would not be covered under warranty. After inspecting I discovered that the brake pads are hardly worn at all. The service advisor told me that this was a problem they were seeing on these new trucks. I feel that this is unacceptable and should be taken care of by Dodge.

Ram 1500 8-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 13,000 miles
With 13,500 miles on my 2006 Dodge Ram 1500 I started to feel a shudder when braking. I inquired with the dealer and he informed me that it was the rotors. He also informed me that Chrysler warranty on the rotors was 12,000 miles. Basically telling me I was sol!

At 15,000 miles my truck would start pulsating when I applied the brake. Found out the front rotors were warped. Happened again at 30,000 miles. Had rotors turned at my expense.
