After the vehicle is turned on engine surges, causing the forward movement of approximately 1 to 1 1/2 inches. Also, a "grinding noise" coming from the rear of vehicle during normal operation. Cruise control engages at any given time. Dealer noticed transmission sending unit cable got loose. Consumer states most common scenario is cruise control being set at speed, then being cancelled by consumer either by cancel button or by braking, cruise will then reengage at set speed.
