Ram 2500

  • 80,000 miles
I have a 2004 Dodge Ram 2500. I have been experiencing death wobble for about 1 year now. I have spent approx. $1000 replacing balljoints (available), trackbar bushings, steering stabilizer, axle U-joints, complete 2008 Dodge steering system to include tie-rod ends, pitman arm, and linkage (available), and shocks (available) with no successful results. At this point I am at a loss of where to go next. This is my only vehicle and my wife and daughter have to use it for transportation everyday. After experiencing this for so long I worry everyday. I have researched this online and found out that many other Dodge owners are experiencing the same problems and receiving no help from the dealerships. Please review this and help us Dodge owners repair this problem before someone is killed.

Ram 2500 Diesel

2004 Dodge Ram front bumper was loose. Customer states he towed the vehicle to California and back before noticing the bumper. He was thankful the bumper didn't detach while towing the truck. The consumer wanted to tow the vehicle behind his motorhome. The consumer purchased a 10,000 pound blue ox tow bar and the recommended blue ox truck attachment bar to go with the specific tow bar. The consumer noticed the bumper assembly was only attached to the frame with four 7/16 bolts. The bolts were the only thing that held the assembly to the frame with only 1/8 or less metal slotted brackets. The jarring movement of the towing had allowed movement of the brackets at the point of contact with the frame.

Problems with 2004 Dodge 1500 Ram. The truck would bounce and shake into oncoming traffic while driving 65 mph. The vehicle was taken to the service dealer who replaced one shock but the vehicle continued to bounce and shake. The dealer told the consumer that the manufacturer put a different frame on the vehicle in 2002 and that nothing could be done.
