Low beam headlights stopped working. Had repair done (dealer) then next day vehicle makes no contact with starter, everything else works. Repaired at dealer, headlights don't work. With rental vehicle replacement of starter (dealership advised), replacement of alternator ( dealership advised), replacement of batteries (dealership advised), headlights not working. Brought back to houston to dealer all at my expense of $1,850. Took to another dealer and have been told that I need an entire wiring harness to the tune of $2,823. All techs have made the same comment, Dodge made the wiring too tight, constantly in a bind when raising and lowering the steering wheel. Don't trust them anymore. Was there a fire question; not yet. Date is approximate.

The truck is over charging, causing the truck to produce over 18 volts, and the dome and headlights to flicker on and off (particularly dangerous on a curvy road at night). Vehicle has been at dealership for three months. All attemps to correct issue with the assistance of DaimlerChrysler have failed. Many shops will not take these trucks because this problem seems unresovable. The vehicle is dangerous to drive and unsellable. Due to the increasing number of reported vehicles with a similar problem DaimlerChrysler has admitted there is a safety issue, but is taking no action to resolve it at this time.
