Stratus

1. ignition- Ms. Faulkner was transporting me to pick up my vehicle and her vehicle engine shut off just before she came to a stop. She stated that this had occurred on several occasions. The vehicle did not stall the day I drove it but when I stopped at a signal light the engine surged momentarily for approximately 3-4 seconds and then it returned to it"S normal idle. Had I not had the brake pedal engaged the vehicle would have surged forward 2. transmission " while driving on the interstate at speed limit and speed control set, upon resuming speed after coasting down a hill, there was a very distinct clunk that came from the transmission/transaxle. This same clunk occurred again at slow speeds when I slowing down for a signal.

Stratus 4WD 4-cyl

  • Automatic transmission
  • 73,139 miles
The events leading up the failure of my vehicle were, the car kept turning off. I could restart it afterwards without a problem. I took the vehicle to the Dodge dearlership and was told I needed a new transmission. This was repaired under the warranty. Afterwards, the car stalled a few times and I could restart. The last time it stalled I could not restart it and I was told by the dealership that I needed a new fuel pump. I paid for the repair services and the next searched the recalls on the internet. I just want my $724.13 refunded. There was a NHTSA recall, # 03V443000, regarding the fuel system/fuel pump and another NHTSA recall, # 04V313000, regarding the fuel system/fuel pump as well.
