C-Max Energi SEL 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 33,004 miles

Bought this car as a, "Certified Used." It left us stranded in Morro Bay, Ca., where the problem was, "Fixed". Coming home from Lake Tahoe, NV, we stopped for gas. Filled it up, got back in, and it won't start... again. Pushed the button three or four more times, nothing. Had it towed 360 miles away to the local dealership, and they find nothing wrong. Are you kidding me? It started and ran just fine for them.

We don't trust this car anymore. What a pile of crap.

C-Max Energi SEL 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,451 miles

Drove our C-max to Morro Bay, Ca, which is about 200 miles from our home. Drove great. We checked in to our hotel, and decided to get something to eat. The car didn't start. We're 200 miles from home, just bought this car, and when trying to start it, nothing happened, like a dead battery. Had it towed to the dealer, they installed a new battery, and off we went. It didn't last long.

C-Max Energi

  • Automatic transmission
  • 42,000 miles

The charging gap came loose and is literally held in place with a spring. I am being told that the entire housing have to be replaced or the car cannot be charged! what a crappy design!!! This car was not cheap but the design is faulty and cheap and I will not buy another Ford.

When the car is plugged in the message is "fault in charging!"

Update from Jun 23, 2016: Charging port COVER

Update from Feb 20, 2017: Now the seatbealt warning light stays on which indicates a malfunction. I received a notice regard the doors. Apparently they can fling open while in motion. The latter was an official notice from but dealer have not received a replacement door(s).
