My Ford Edge 2011 3.5 6cyl while in motion, stopped running and three new electric modules and 6 cores had been replaced and the unit still doesn't run normal and has a burning smell in the motor. Unit has been for the last 1 month at the authorized Ford dealer and now they want to charge me the catalytic. Almost +2K in bills.

Passenger side seat belt locks in place while in motion regardless of whether the brake is pressed or not. Stays locked in place during long road trips until seat belt is disconnected and reconnected. This happens frequently (when I have a passenger) ever since I bought this vehicle 5 years ago. I am not sure if this is a safety issue??

On October 2016, the driver was westbound on 2 lane route 40 near springfield, Ohio. A medical condition caused the driver to pass out. The auto veered off the road initially traveling approximately 40 miles per hour. It crossed through a yard and hit nose first into a hill. Almost $10,000 worth of damage was caused to the front end of the vehicle. The airbag did not inflate and the driver sustained head and facial injuries due to contact with the steering wheel. The driver also sustained deep brusing to the chest due to the seat belt restraint. We are interested to know why the airbag did not inflate and protect the driver. The head injuries and vision problems continue to restrict the driver form being able to drive again.

All doors are closed but "door ajar" notification is present prohibiting doors from locking and interior lights from dimming. This is a safety issue whereby the interior lights are distracting during night-time driving.

The contact owns a 2011 Ford Edge. The contact stated that while driving at approximately 60 mph, a burning odor emitted inside of the vehicle. The vehicle was taken to an independent mechanic, who stated there was an electrical problem that originated from the fuse box. The failure caused the battery to fail. The battery was replaced on two separate occasions however, the failure persisted. In addition, the rear lift gate failed to release and opened independently. The front driver's side seat belt would not latch securely. The vehicle was not diagnosed or repaired. The manufacturer was notified of the failure. The approximate failure mileage was 61,000.

1) drive door ajar light in dash will not go out. Door will not properly shut. Extremely unsafe! doors will not lock with this warning/light on as well as the lights inside vehicle stay on for an extended amount of time (up to 20 min) until they go to sleep. Which is draining the battery. 2) passenger seat belt locks up with the least bit of movement. So tight that it severely uncomfortable. To find comfort the seat belt has to constantly be unlatched and re latched while vehicle is in motion / driven. Unsafe! when researching the door ajar issue it has become very clear that Ford has a major defect with this part that has been installed. This should not cost consumers over $500 out of pocket to repair or put their live in danger due to their neglect to repair their product that was defected when manufactured.

Rear seat center seat belt latch is in a location that is extremely hard to use and when the seat belt does get buckled, it is so uncomfortable that I have had people unbuckle. You actually sit right on the latch when it is buckled. There really should be a fix available so that the latch end of the center buckle can be moved out of the way of where you sit. I can't imagine how a person with a car seat would try to use this.
