Edge SEL V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 100 miles

I had a 2008 Edge Limited which I LOVED. I drove with the windows open all the time + never once, had any problems.

The 2013 Edge SEL that I leased on 8/10/13 is a completely different story. You CANNOT, I repeat, CANNOT drive with the back windows open. You CANNOT drive with 1 back window open + 1 front window open. You CANNOT drive with EITHER of the back windows open. The loud high pitched squealing noise that comes from the back windows is so distracting + LOUD, you cannot concentrate, and the people driving in the next lane can also hear it!!

Right now, my brand new vehicle is back at the dealer and has been there for the past 4 days for this and other electrical issues. The dealer is waiting for a call back from Ford to find out if this has been an ongoing problem.

Well guess what Ford? I bought a vehicle with 4 windows that I should be able to use, without distraction or noise. If you come back to me and tell me that this is an engineering issue, you can take my vehicle back, and I will start buying vehicles from another company. This is my 5th Ford and if this is not rectified, it will be my last.
