Unable to get parts/repair for NHTSA Safety Recall 20V-469 - since May 2021. Even tried calling the Ford Customer Relationship Center and was placed on hold for 30 min and then it disconnected. I would like for the part to be shipped directly to Long Lewis Ford of Hoover, AL in c/o of my name and vehicle, so they will call me when it arrives and I can come in to get replaced. Every time I call they don't have parts, as they only get a few at a time and are already spoken for. I am frustrated to keep calling and taking time to get this safety recall fixed on my own behalf. I would appreciate your help. Thank you.

When driving and try to brake noticed that pedal distance has increased and was hard to stop the car. When stopped to review vehicle, noticed brake fluid on the right side of it. Take it to Ford dealer (CrossRoads Ford of Kernersville) and they confirmed rupture on right brake hose. Correction was to replace both front brake hoses. This failure is exactly the same as the one for safety recall "NHTSA Campaign Number: 20V469000". VIN for my vehicle is not part of recall however same failure happens with same risks, showing that Ford fails on tracking/providing accurate VIN numbers for this safety failure.

The contact owns a 2016 Ford Edge. The contact stated while driving at an undisclosed speed, the brake pedal felt soft when depressed, causing the stopping distance to be extended 200 feet. The low brake fluid message appeared on the instrument panel. The contact pumped the brake pedal several times to regain normal function and veered to the side of the road. The vehicle was not diagnosed nor repaired. The contact stated the failure reoccurred several times while driving. The contact received notification of NHTSA campaign number: 20V469000 (Service Brakes, Service Brakes, Hydraulic) however, the dealer informed the contact that the part for the recall repair was not yet available. The contact stated that the manufacturer had exceeded a reasonable amount of time for the recall repair. The manufacturer was notified of the failure and a case was opened. The contact was still awaiting a call back from the manufacturer. The approximate failure mileage was 55,000. Parts distribution disconnect. After three weeks of not examining the car the dealer decided to put the car on the rack where they discovered the problem being the brake master cylinder and booster. The dealer said our warranty would cover it and they were going to get the parts. There was not a recall on the issue but hearing conversations in the dealership convinced us that the issue should be a recall. We were provided a rental car for 5 days. After we pushed the issue Ford agreed to provide a rental car 60 days because parts are not available. Different stories were told about the part availability until I did research and found tools were available but dealers were not selling or sharing because they have the same issues. There should be buffer on service part tools and the Ford dealers are attempting to contain the situation in house instead of escalating the problem. Currently there are two unresolved issues 1. Recall for brake lines where we were told they had parts and to bring car in. Got to dealer and there were no parts. 2. Dealer inspec

I was told parts for the safety recall would be in at the end of 2020. Were now almost halfway through 2021 and the parts are still unavailable. I did receive a letter from Ford about the safety recall and that parts were in and to call and schedule the maintenance appointment. I scheduled an appointment for this month, June 2021 and now they tell me parts are still not in and not expected till mid July 2021. My husband and I have one car and if something were to happen that would be terrible. Our lives are important and we drive our son around, we don-€™t feel safe knowing our brakes could not work properly.

The right rear brake lost brake fluid which caused the brakes to be ineffective. This would have caused me to possibily have and accident or cause me to hit another vehicle because I wouldn't be able to stop. I took the vehicle to a Ford dealer who found the leak and replaced the part. This same thing happened to the front brakes as well. Those brakes are currently under a recalled for the same issue. There were no warns, lights or any symptoms that there was a problem

Front brake hose leak. Left home and it was fine, a few miles later I noticed the brake pedal needing more pressure and going farther down each time I stopped. Car was slow to stop. I drove to an autozone and they checked and saw I had no brake fluid. I knew there was a recall and even asked about it a week prior at the dealership during a 60K mile service. I got it to the dealership and they replaced the hose with the same defective part - I got 60K miles out of the first one so I'm not too worried but they only changed the hose on one side so I assume it's likely to happen again on the other side? did not charge me and like the others, I'll keep waiting for the recall to issue a fix.

I have had the front brake line rupture in my 2016 Ford Edge, had it replaced out of pocket even though it's a recall. I called Ford then to tell them they told me to take it to Ford to get it fixed the first of the year and they will reimburse me for what I had fixed; then they had me sit their and hour for them to tell me that they didn't have the part and they will call me when they get. Never got a call back and never got reimbursed. Then it ruptured again tried to get it fixed they told that I have to wait for the parts to come in after I got told they would have the parts the first of the year. They refuse to help me and refuse to get me a loaner. So I'm stuck with a car with no brakes that almost caused me to crash twice now.

After shopping, I applied the brake to start the car. I heard a pop and the pedal went to the floor. The front right brake hose ruptured. I took the vehicle to the dealer who stated the recalled part is in "advance notice" and a fix isn't available. I was charged for the fix (with a promise of refund), but only one side was fixed and I presume the old part, which was recalled, was used to "fix" the car. After calling Ford, they had no update. Their recall notice (20S42) stated they expected the fix to be ready Q4 2020, but it is not April 2021 with no update.
