Front end impact into a tree; multiple airbags deployed with the exception of the primary driver's side steer wheel airbag. The car sensed and attempted to call 911 but was in a rural area. Just concerned about why that with all the other airbags deployed and no sensor noted to activate the steering wheel airbag.

The contact owned a 2016 Ford Edge. While driving at a low rate of speed, the contact crashed into another vehicle. The driver's side air bag did not deploy upon initial impact. As a result, the contact's upper body went into the passenger seat and caused his foot to become wedged into the accelerator pedal. The vehicle then crashed into a garage. Only the driver's side leg air bag deployed during the second impact. The contact sustained an incomplete spinal cord injury, which caused him to have neck surgery. The driver of the other vehicle sought medical attention for their unknown injuries. A police report was filed. The cause of the failure was unknown. The dealer was not contacted. The vehicle was towed and deemed totaled by the insurance company (claim number: 01-001-969010). The manufacturer was informed of the failure and provided case number: Cas-24820768. The failure mileage was 44,857.

I was traveling 35 mph on highway 20/20 in garden city Idaho, a car pulled out of a parking lot without stopping. I hit the drivers side of his car. My Edge was totaled. I hit hard and had a passenger in the front seat and two more in the back. The airbags did not deploy and I feel they should have. The only one that did was the skirt airbag at my legs.

Takata recall autonation has sent a letter for recall on takata airbags but has no replacement airbags.there is also a recall for corroded gas tank. I see none of these in your recall database so I assume the recall has been rescinded.I was waiting for airbags to come in to get it repaired together. That never happened. This is a complaint about the process which leaves it unresolved by Ford.

I had an accident on November 30, 2016. I was hit head on on a city street and spun around. I tried to put my foot on the brakes because my car kept going but the airbag was in the way and I couldn't get to the brake. My car kept going and I was headed for an office building. I ran into the building because I couldn't get my foot on the brake due to the airbag in the way. This accident could have been much worse if there were other cars in the area that I needed to avoid or if I was headed for a cliff my car was totaled.

Takata recall- adaptive steering fault-my vehicle was purchased on November 16, 2016 and in that time its been to the dealership 3 times for an adaptive steering fault warning that came on shortly after purchasing the vehicle, to which no one could figure out why. By my third attempt to bring this to the dealership they finally told me that had to replace the whole steering wheel. The dealership then showed me a notice that was sent out back before I bought my car that this was an issue regarding the steering this notice was dated November 3, 2016. I originally bought this vehicle for its safety due to having a 5 year old and currently pregnant, then to find out that this had a defect before purchasing that I was unaware of and yet lead to believe it was still safe. Then I received a recall for the drivers side airbags not fully filling up and those had to be replaced. I have called back in June when I received the letter and have been told that they are still waiting for the parts to come in. It is now September 26 with no answers on when these two will be fixed for a 4th time. I was told that when replacing the steering wheel I might lose out on some of the technology that I purchased my car with and I expect some kind of compensation for this. The steering defect warning would randomly come on, sometimes when I turned the car on, sometimes when I turned the wheel, sometimes would turn off and then randomly come back on. The dealership did do a software update which changed the feel of the steering wheel completely and the warning came back on two days later. As you can see this brand new vehicle isn't even a year old and has been in the shop more than my used car. Every time I have to leave my car and they refused to give me a loaner car making me miss work every time.

The incident has happened four times, so far, twice within two minutes. Driving down a straight, flat road and the car completely shuts down. Accelerator does not work, air bag sensors deactivate, complete loss of control. Cars behind had to swerve into a ditch to avoid hitting my car because the car completely shuts off with no notice, going 50 mph. Now happens every time I drive vehicle for longer than 20-25 minutes. Hill start assist not available message appears and car shuts down without warning traveling at high speeds. Service engine light appears and service engine notification. Airbag sensor off light illuminates. I've found this has been a known problem since 2002 and there have been no recalls. They are still manufacturing malfunctioning etb in vehicles and someone is going to die. Thankfully, I was not on the expressway. I have this issue documented on video, as it happens every time I drive my 2016 Ford Edge. Purchased vehicle in Nov of 2016. In Feb of 2017 I received a message on dashboard that my oil pressure was low. After checking oil we discovered it was 3 quarts low. Though maybe it was not filled all the way by the dealer. On March 27th we brought the vehicle into the dealership because again the oil was 3 qts low. On March 28th the dealer called to say that they had a memo from Ford stating something was wrong with the engine and that they would have to replace the entire engine! (now that's scarry) also received in the mail that there is a compliance recall call 17C02 for airbags. In specific the drivers airbag. Parts for this recall will not be available until late second quarter 2017. I feel this vehicle is a disaster, not safe, afraid to drive and that Ford should just give me a new one!! very disappointed with Ford. We are Ford car buyers and have been for at least 20 yrs.
