Escape SE 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,500 miles

The left light went out. Went to dealer to get the light bulb changed. After an hour, they updated me that "some" electrical failure occurred and that it could take "hours" to fix. It for sure is covered under warranty, but now I am skeptical to drive this car. And this car is new, and under 3 months old with about 3500 miles.

Escape SE 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission

After having the brand new vehicle for less than 24 hours I haven't seen it in 3 weeks. Ford has no idea when the part will be available. But you bet your ass they're expecting me to make my first payment in a week. Coming from a Ford Emoloyee/family this is unacceptable treatment. I asked the dealer if I could just get a new vehicle since I had it only about 18 hours and they are completely non responsive as well. They gave me a Chevy as a loaner!! After 37 loyal years I think a Jeep is looking mighty appealing.

Car was 5 days old, less than 700km... the problem was waiting to occur when warmer, damp weather (above freezing) arrived

Dealer informed me is was "a grounding" problem
