Escape SEL 2.0L L4 Dir Dohc 16v

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

There has been 3 times now, in the last 4 months, that I turned my car on and the radio & entire touch screen came on and appeared to be functioning fine, but there was NO SOUND coming from my speakers! I tried turning the radio off/on and changing the channels/volume but it did not help. There were two times that after I restarted the vehicle the problem resolved itself. Then there was another time, the first time it happened, that I couldn't get any sound to come out of the speakers for 40 minutes on my drive home, and then it suddenly started working again :/

am raido condense static, worse when charging

The AM radio constenstly has static, it gets worse when charging. During my warranty I mentioned it a few times we went for test drive, the service rep said it was normal? I've been driving for over 50 yrs, and diffently this is not normal. Today I took it in, sense I brought up the problem it was under warrant, so I made the appointment for 1.15pm. I left because they are researching the problem.
