Escape Titanium

This is the second time the paint has bubbled up and flaked off. Ford did not cover it the first time while the car was still under the bumper to bumper. Never had this issue with my Honda ---will be moving back to Honda for next car.

paint on back hatch door bubbles up and splits open

I am very worried about rusting in these spots as we have WINTER here. The dealer just tells me that FORD says they are rock chips and won't do anything about the problem. These are not rock chips as the paint bubbles up and then splits open. You can see them starting very small and then spreading. The manager at the dealership says his hands are tied as FORD will not fix them! I have previous issues with this vehicle (engine stopping dead) so there is plenty of history with the service manager. I got a lemon and I should not have bought a new model in its first year! Oh, they said I could fix it with touch up paint and charged me for that! Any suggestions?
