Escape S 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 2,518 miles

After owning the NEW vehicle for a week or so we returned to the dealer complaining of a wind noise from the driver's side door or front window area. After test driving the 2013 Escape we were informed they did hear something. They then informed us that they test drove other vehicles of our type on the lot, their conclusion was that they all make the same noise and since there was nothing on the FORD fix pages there was nothing they could do.

So for the next year on every visit to the dealer we had the service adviser type in the wind noise complaint in the service order. On the last visit when I told them that I and this complaint were not going away, the service manager finally drove my car and admitted there was a problem. The issue is not yet repaired but at least I have conformation of a problem. A trouble shooting date has been booked we will see what happens with the repair. DON'T give in to your dealer, be a pain in their back side until they fix your issues. Will update with the dealer fix.

Escape SEL 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 24,000 miles

When driving over 65 the left driver's door/ windshield appears to be letting air in. It makes a very loud wind noise, which makes it hard to hear the radio or talk or just be silent in the car...very annoying. Taking in for service.
