I am adding 3 complaints at once as the first two times I just thought I had horrible luck. The first time it happened, I was out of town on vacation. My vehicle was parked at home in a backyard parking spot. My neighbor notified me that my rear window was shattered. Nothing was missing and there was no sign of entry to my vehicle. As I said above, I didn't think much of it other than it was poor luck. I had it replaced and paid my insurance deductible.

I was driving in town on a main street and my rear gate window shattered spontaneously. Nothing hit the window, there were no cars around me. It was very cold out - around 15 degrees. By the time I got home the glass was falling out. This is unacceptable, and I am contracting Ford to reimburse me for my expenses.

I got my vehicle back about 2PM on Monday from Safe Lite Glass and I came out of work at 4PM and saw a black plastic piece on the ground - the street had snow so it was easy to see, I thought WTH - and walked back to pick it up and looked at the window - it was SHATTERED AGAIN!!!! I called the guy at the glass place and he say "no Way" I said "I'm coming right over" he taped it so it would not fall out but it was all shattered but hadn't fallen out yet - - and I had to take it back the next morning and they fixed it AGAIN - no cost to me this time - thankfully -

I was in Green Bay WI - It was Terribly COLD (Below Zero) and I walked out to load the car only to find the window shattered but mostly intact. I had to make an hour of phone calls to help me get it road ready - NO ONE works on SUNDAY with Glass -so Tires Plus helped me tape, plastic and cardboard the back window to get back to La Crosse Area (I live in Holmen just north of La Crosse). Then Monday (the next day) Safe Light Glass replaced the window

I came out of SHOPKO after picking up a few things on my way home from work and saw that black plastic on the snow covered ground AGAIN _- sure enough, the window was all shattered AGAIN> I called the dealer - who is about 25 miles away and they recommended that I go to their branch close by me and they will tape it up -- I did and their service dept took the window out and vacuumed and taped up the tail gate

This is the third time in 2 1/2 weeks!!!!!!!! I'm afraid to drive it anywhere - I can't have this happening to me again -

Ford declined to pay my claim even with all of the other investigations into this dating back to the 1990s. Could not upload the photos I have but here is a website. http://www.fordproblems.com/trends/exploding-windows/
