Upon delivery of my new 2015 Escape SE, I did a quick search to see if I could add aftermarket roof racks. Upon inspecting the existing roof, I found that the roof trim (plastic which fills in the rain gutter, where a roof rack might attach) to be loose. It appears that there may be some clips that are bolted in, and the trim gets both snapped in place at those clips, and affixed with adhesive-foam blocks.

My adhesive foam blocks are not adhered to the roof of the car, which means they wiggle some, and can easily be pried from the rooftop.

I don't see that this is causing any issues, but I wanted to make the manufacturer aware, so I asked my dealer to inspect it. The dealer is replacing both the left and right trim under warranty.

Update from Nov 9, 2020: I notified the dealer immediately. The trim was replaced in a few days.
