Husband leased this car to tow our boat. We had driven it from one Marina to the a new marina and docked the boat. On the way home as we were turning the corner into our street, my husband was not able to straighten the wheel after the turn and hit a traffic sign post. He thought he had over corrected, but discovered that the tie rod had snapped and the wheel would not move. The damage was a scrape to the drivers front fender side and was not significant enough to have snapped the tie-rod. this was confirmed by the insurance adjuster as well as the mechanic that repaired the damage. I am now terrified to drive the car. If this had happened while we were towing the boat on the main highway, we could have been killed. I don't want another car from them and I don't even want them to pay for the damages or for the car I had to rent to go back and forth to work. I just want to get out of the lease. I am terrified when I think of what could have happened. When I called Ford customer service, they would not do anything!!!!!! Please help me if you can...I am so upset and stuck with a car I hate. It only had 3,000 miles on it when this happened and I am getting it back from the repair shop today 9/6/16.
