problem #2

Escort LX 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 119,000 miles

Vehicle started spewing power steering fluid thru the reservoir. Mechanic says change the power steering pump -still happens. Then he says change the rack and pinion -still spews thru reservoir. They say change pressure hose -still spews. They say change pump again -still spews. They say change rack and pinion again- still spews. Change pressure hose again -still spews thru the reservoir. Has anybody in this great country suffered thru this? The vehicle has not left the shop in three weeks.

Escort Alpha 1.6L

  • Manual transmission

Despite low usage, steering / suspension has major faults - caused by poor assembly/defective components or repairs carried out by Ford under warranty. Ford to replace defective components free of charge.
