The contact owns a 2015 Ford Expedition. The contact stated that there was corrosion on the liftgate of the vehicle. The contact took the vehicle to malloy Ford of winchester (1911 valley ave, winchester, va 22601, (540) 667-4434) to get the corrosion treated. The dealer stated that they would take pictures and send them to the manufacturer for repair approval. The contact had to take her vehicle to the dealer four separate times because the pictures would get lost due to staff turnover. The manufacturer finally rejected the contact's claim to have the vehicle repaired for free. The contact called the manufacturer and was provided a case number. The manufacturer referred the contact to NHTSA. The failure mileage was 67,000.
