transmission cooler lines snapped at 60mph. no crash able to get suv on side of road. transmission is totaled needs replaced. repairs are underway at ford dealership in groveport ohio. milage of failure around 101100 miles on the odometer. rust metal fatigue are the cause of what transpired. cost of repairs at this moment is around 9 grand.

I was driving at approximately 50 mph, in a steady-state in mild traffic, when the wrench icon in the left-side of the dashboard lit up momentarily and the vehicle lost all power. The engine was still running but was unresponsive. I had to coast to a stop, turn it off then re-start the vehicle. It did so again upon driving it on Monday Aug 19. Ford was contacted and denied the issue, even though this exactly mimics the reason for the recall on 2015 Ford flexes/Lincoln mkts, etc. With the same powertrain!

Engine restarts normally until next incident. Car produced at louisville Kentucky truck plant which produced the defective electronic throttle bodies included in the Ford recall campaign 16B32.

When driving on highway the engine goes into limp mode 3mph max. Displays wrench symbol on instrumentation panel.. no possible acceleration possible.. very dangerous if you were entering an intersection on highway. I could see possible fatalities. If you shut off engine and restart will run as normal for about a mile than same scenario. Ran code showed "P2112" faulty throttle body. If you were crossing a highway I could see getting T-boned. Please educate owners to save lives.9.12.18

55,000 miles. Orange wrench warning light came on driving through town about 25 mph. Lost power and coasted across the rail road tracks in town. Vehicle was still running, however had no power and minimal idle speed. I got pulled off to the side of the road. Diagnostic said to check manual. I tried to do that and the vehicle wasn't idling the best, so I shut it off. I was at a busy intersection and was on my way to pick up my daughter from her first day at daycare, so in a little disarray. I turned the vehicle back on and regained full functionality. The next day it replicated the error twice in about a 4 mile stretch. I got it shut off and restarted then directly over to the dealership. They have had it for 8 days and can't replicate the error.

In the past week, on 2 separate occasions, my 2015 Ford Expedition has stalled while driving. First instance, while driving approx. 45mph on small country road and accelerating, vehicle stalled and came to a rolling stop, with service indicator light and "see manual" illuminated on dashboard. Once stopped and shifted into park, vehicle started and drove again normally. Second instance (approx. 2 days later), while entering interstate from on ramp, approx. 45mph and accelerating, vehicle stalled. Luckily, we were able to steer the vehicle to the shoulder prior to coming to complete stop. Once shifted into park, vehicle started and drove again normally. Ford service told us the problem is with the throttle body, and will cost nearly $700 to replace. I've done some online research over the past 24 hours, the throttle body seems to be one of, if not the most common complaints by 2015 Expedition owners. If this happened during rush hour on a major interstate, people could get killed. Please investigate.

Electronic throttle body etb, dephi 6. the car all of a sudden drops the speed to an idle, produces a warning wrench on dash (P2112 or 2111 code) the vehicle loses power and barley moves. This happened about 3 times while I was driving with my family in car. I was able to pull off the road and restart the vehicle. Luckily I was not towing my trailer at the time. This happened on a road trip and it was fix under Ford comprehensive cpo warranty at about 44K miles (11-2016). Now the vehicle is only under powertrain warranty at 64K miles and the etb failed while I was making a left turn with oncoming traffic. This could have caused an accident. Unlike the first incident I was close to home and I have parked the truck until my appointment with the dealer (1 week away). We live in a mountain area with single lane mountain roads where there would not be an opportunity to pull off on to snow banked roads. Dealer has not said if they would cover this again since there is no recall. Ford has only given some of their vehicles with the same etb and PCM's installed an extended warranty but do people have to die to get a true repaired item or recall?

Vehicle in motion on freeway at speed (70mph approx.) and suddenly lost power w/check engine light (orange wrench) coming on. Vehicle had no power/acceleration and seemed to only idle. Was able to coast to right shoulder. Shut engine off and waited for a few moments and turned back on, started up, and appeared to work normally, allowing us to continue on to destination.

At about 56000 miles, while driving down the road at about 55 mph, the wrench light came on and the truck went into, what I now know as, crawl home mode. I had to drift to the side of the road and restart the truck. About a week later the same thing happened. To it to the dealership where is was purchased and was told that it is a faulty throttle body. I was told that it is not covered under any warranty and would be close to $500 to repair. After doing some searches online I found that this has happened with thousands of late model Ford, some of which Ford agreed to repair and offer a longer warranty.

Filed complaint few months back, 10985979. Sudden loss of power. Started to happen again, this time it happened around 15 times in a 200 mile period. Happened during all driving conditions, city and highway, from a stop to highway speeds. No warring just full loss of power. Shut truck off, restarted and ran normally for 6-10 miles then would shut down again. After the 3rd time a check engine light came on. Drove to the nearest Ford dealer. They ended up changing the throttle body assy due to a failure of a internal component.

Vehicle lost power while driving on city street. No warning prior to losing power. Had a "wrench" light appear on dash. I had to coast to side of the road. Had I been on the highway, merging, or turning in front of approaching vehicles, there is a high probability there would have been an accident. I attached a tester on the vehicle and P2112 defect code appeared indicating a stuck throttle actuator control. This vehicle has less than 60,000 miles and was just in for a major milestone vehicle inspection.

1/28/17 driving 65 mph on a Florida highway (not on cruise control) the throttle/gas peddle sensor (throttle body) shuts off the gas to the engine and the car slows to a stop. This is in the middle of traffic. We manage to pull to the side of the highway, turn the car off and on and the problem disappears for another 50 miles we drive the car to a Ford dealer and they replace the throttle body for $500. I am. Out of warranty = over 36,000 miles I tell my story to 2 St louis friends, also own Ford (2006 Explorer, 2008 edge) and they say that they have had the same experience and necessary repair. I just notified Ford customer service 800-392-3673 and they say that they do not have a recall or issue with this problem. This is a very dangerous situation and has been ignored by Ford for years. I also owned a Toyota during their sudden acceleration problem a few years ago and this seems worse

01 June 2015 driving on interstate 10 from beaumont Texas I entered a heavy rain storm, traffic slowed down to about 50 M.P.H. in a 70 M.P.H. speed zone. I passed a tractor trailer, when the mist from the truck and the rain hit my vehicle, my engine lost power. I removed my foot from the gas, after a few hundred yards the power came back but my engine light was on. The problem happened 4 or 5 times thru Louisiana and into Florida.I took the vehicle back to the dealer palm bay Ford with 3,000 mile since new they couldn't duplicate the problem so I was told there wasn't a problem. 17 Sept. 2015 with 12826 miles I returned to palm bay Ford again, after returning from West virgina in another heavy rain storm the same thing happened, the engine lost power I was told the same thing they couldn't find a problem so no problem exist. This is a safety concern and needs to be addressed.
