My truck has been at the Ford dealership for four days. They say they do not know what is wrong. After a horrific thunder storm and a lightning struck within a block of where the truck was parked, when I went to start the car the engine was dead although all the lights on the dashboard were on, the AC blower worked and I was able to lock and unlock my card with the remote. AAA said there was nothing wrong with the battery or the alternator. Everything checked out okay. I read the owners manual about the security system , the truck has the SecuriLock immobilizer anti-theft system installed in it. I did what the book said to do and it is the anti-theft system that is causing the truck not to start. Of course the book says to take it to the closest authorized dealer to have the problem corrected. As I said previously, they say they do not know what the problem is and they said they have been charging the battery for 6 hours, (guess they want me to tell them to put a new battery on to the tune of $125). Can anyone tell me what I can do to fix the problem with the system. As far as the dealership they are a bunch of crooks. It is the Ford dealership located in Ft. Myers, Florida.
