Our 2008 Ford Explorer while driving in heavy Florida traffic dropped into "Limp Mode" with a max of 20MPH. Wrench light came on. Stopped the car turned it off and back on seemed to be OK. Brought it to a dealer they said it was OK but had a fault in the memory from a Throttle body failure. We continued on our vacation thinking that if this did fail it would be covered under our "Power Train warranty". Then on Saturday when we were on our way home it failed hard, took it to dealer they explained that the "Throttle Body" is not part of the "Drive Train" Imagine that key engine component not part of the "Drive Train" so cost us $500 to replace. I saved the part hoping to get some failure analysis done. Think Ford should step up to the plate and cover these failures.
