I have a 2015 Ford Explorer Sport and the headlights are beyond bad. In no way are they safe. The first time my wife drove it she swore the headlights weren't on. Now she refuses to drive it at night. You can see maybe 5 feet in front the of the vehicle and even that is very very dimly lit! I am shocked that the DOT approved this vehicle with these headlights. If I were to drive my Subaru Outback with only the parking lights on it would be a huge improvement over the headlights on this Explorer. I can't stress enough just how dangerous this vehicle is to drive at night. The headlights are basically nonexistent

The headlights on the car are fine immediately in front of the car. At a short distance there is a black line where lighting ends. The lights do not diffuse so you can see far enough ahead to be safe. Even worse, when going down an incline, the lights shine directly in front of the car on the road. Visibility is nil. Add a downhill road with a curve, which I drive frequently, and this is an extremely dangerous situation. You can't see the road and you cannot tell where the road turns. You are in fact driving blind at night. I have read that people with 2014 explorers have had the same issue and this wasn't fixed on my car.

The headlights on this vehicle are terrible. They are so low all you see is a horizon line. When driving downhill you can’t even see. I asked the dealership to adjust my headlamps. They said that they aren’t adjustable.
