Explorer XLT 3.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

At just one year an a half of my new 2015 Ford Explorer purchase I started experiencing consecutive problems with this famous light of seat belt . I reported always at the dealer but I started to accept it as part of my day. They scan it or fixed the problem but at the week it will show up again. Every time I took it to the dealer they told me the problem was fixed but it is on because of other technical issue with other seat belt. Then I started to notify it every time I took my car there for the oil change because I was tired of tooting it too many times. Last oil change the warranty expired and sill has the light on. When they told me about the cost I prefer to leave it on. Always was a new seat. That's incredible or a lie. I don t know. It happened to me at Mayaguez Ford

Explorer XLT V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 57,000 miles

After taking my vehicle 3 times to the dealership, twice the light went out tech was unable to diagnose. Finally this trip light stayed on & was diagnosed. Poor connection to computer system or some crap! Not covered under 5yr/60,00 mile warranty....HOW?????? That is a safety issue since my airbags will not deploy if I don’t spend the $800 for this repair!! Straight BS as far as I’m concerned & Ford should be ashamed of themselves to not warranty an issue such as this! What I would love to know is how do you but stimulation’s on what is & what is not covered under the extended warranty period as far the coverage of the seatbelt & airbag system
