  • Automatic transmission
  • 32,000 miles
- the contact owns a 2004 Ford F150. The vehicle was in the repair shop for a slow leak on the front passenger side tire so the mechanic plugged the tire. While mounting the tire to the vehicle it exploded. The explosion was caused by separation of the tire beads. The mechanic mounted the spare tire. After driving ten miles the spare tire blew also due to tire bead separation. The tire beads were completely severed in both failures. The failed tire brand is hankook dynapro, size, P235/75R17. The contact was driving 5 mph when the spare tire failed. Updated 2/22/2007 - updated updated 04/16/07
