I have a 2004 Ford F150 and today my 4th window regulator broke and it sounded like someone had shot a gun at the truck while I was driving it and I almost had an accident, I have been online looking for a recall unfortunately there have not been recalled. I could have easily ran in the back of someone due to the loud bang, this is the fourth window that did it. Now I have four windows that's not operating. It needs to be recalled asap!

While driving home on the highway my right rear window came crashing down. My 8 year-old daughter was sitting next to the window and she screamed. This is the 4th time this has happened. I know the window regulator has gone out. Now I have an appointment to have the window repaired again!!! I am told it is a wear and tear item. Having all windows in you vehicle drop at any moment and any speed it not normal. I have never had this happen with any other vehicle. When the window drops it is loud, causes you to over correct thinking you have a flat or hit something and any loose papers you have in the vehicle start flying around. Thankfully we didn't have a wreck and this is the fourth time I am having to pay for a repair that should be recalled. Note: This is not on a window that is opened/closed very often.

2004 Ford F-150 super crew drivers side power window and rear passenger side power window failure within two weeks of each other at 42,000 miles. The drivers side window gets used a lot, and the rear passenger side window is seldom used. Unable to immediately pay $350 per window to repair, so I'm putting up with moisture/visibility issues on the inside of the windshield, weather challenges, and deafening buffeting at freeway speeds. The Ford dealer told me that although the window motor still runs, the cable system used to raise and lower the window gets irretrievably sucked into the motor or damaged necessitating replacing the entire motor/regulator unit. Also, that it may be riveted in place rather than bolted, requiring special riveting tools to facilitate the repair. This is not safe for my grandchildren and myself driving with the windows down, enduring deafening buffeting, weather extremes, and road hazards, let alone visibility issues due to window fogging.

I was driving down the road, heard a huge "pop" like a gun and both my rear windows started to creep down slowly. I took my door panels off and to my amazement my window cables are off the pulley system on both sides. I have secured my windows in the up position using tape and have been advised that both window regulators need to be replaced costing approx. 800 dollars.

There were no events leading to the failure other than normal use. I have had two window regulator failures on my truck and each time the window falls into the door. The first time I was driving in a severe snowstorm and the next on the highway on a trip to cedar point. The trip to cp was more a security issue but when the snow and ice were flying into my truck it was very dangerous to drive.

3 months ago my rear passenger window on my 2004 F-150 failed and came crashing down, Ford refuses to replace it, now my driver door window has done the same thing and almost caused me to wreck due to startling me, Ford refuses to address the issue due to a faulty regulator in the door or defective. Something needs to be done about this immediately. This is a safety issue due to the window just crashing down while your driving.
