The contact owns a 2004 Ford F150. He stated that the front and rear driver's side power windows failed. When opening the windows, the glass would close forcefully into the door. The vehicle was taken to a local repair facility where the power window regulator was replaced. The contact stated that after the vehicle was repaired the front passenger side window exhibited the same failure. The vehicle was not repaired a second time. There were no related recalls. The manufacturer would not provide any assistance. The VIN was not available. The failure mileage was 45,000 and the current mileage was 50,000.

The power window on my 2004 Ford F-150 passenger side suddenly crashed down into the door suddenly. I have been told it is the window regulator and now it will not go up. This is dangerous especially if there would have been a storm outside or children in the car.

This is the 3rd time to have a window regulator fail. I have to take my granddaughter to school and could not keep the window up thus allowing her to have access to a down window during the drive. It took Ford 4 days to get to me for the repair each time.

I own a 2004 Ford F-50 super crew, and my rear passenger window fell inside the door without anyone using it and without warning. This is the second window regulator I have had to replace, both in the rear of the vehicle on windows that very rarely get actuated.

I have a 2004 Ford truck F -150. I have two windows on passenger side. Fall down into door. These windows were rarely use.they both fell within a short time of each other. So I call the dealer told about my problem. Before I could tell him the year of the truck.he said let me guess you have a 2004 model. So I ask if there was recall he said no. This a safety issue. Ford knows this was a defected part.my other window on rear drivers side is making a noise. Now I don't use my windows of fear they may fall to. To fix at dealer about 300 per window.something needs to be done. God forbid if a kid was leaning on a window and hit the down button all fell out. Mine gave no warning just fell down. All the way into door. You have to take the door apart just to pull it up to brace it somehow. I have only owned Ford trucks.this is the first time I have a problem like this. This is clearly a defected part it should have been recalled.

This is my second complaint about my 2004 Ford crew cab, I now have had all four of my window regulators fail on my truck. Each time $350 dollars. Coming home from a trip with 2 co-workers a back window fell in my truck and I had to drop off my co-workers and drive home by myself at midnight. This was very scary for all of us. When is Ford going to put the safety of humans above money and recall this defect. I now believe that my drivers window is fixing to drop again and who has the money to keep fixing windows with the economy in failure. Maybe I can get a bailout to fix my window or better yet buy myself a new Chevy pickup.

In 2009, my 2004 Ford F-150 trucks rear driver's side window fell inside the door just as I returned home with both of my toddler children in car seats in the back seat. The glass did not break, but it was a frightening experience for myself and my daughters. I took the truck to my local Ford dealership where I bought the truck from and where I also have the truck serviced and I was charged $400 for the window to be repaired. Just this month (June 2010), my right front passenger's window fell inside the door while I was at work. Luckily, nothing was stolen from the truck and no one was injured. When I took the truck again to the same dealership, they again told me it would be another $400 to repair it. I complained and they said there was nothing they could do about it. I am very upset about this incident. I have bought Ford vehicles since I first got my driver's license 20 years ago and I am very upset by the way Ford has treated it's customers. I just hope that the next two windows that have not fallen yet will not injure me, my wife or my children when they decide to fall.

The contact owns a 2004 Ford F-150. He stated that while driving 55 mph the front and rear windows fell inside the door. The vehicle was taken to the dealer who advised that the window regulator was broken and needed to be replaced. However, the failure recurred twice. The repairs were done three times to the vehicle at a cost to the owner. The manufacturer was contacted and a complaint filed. The failure and current mileages were 132,000.

My 2004 Ford F150 has had both rear window regulators fail within 30 days. The first failed on its own. Like others, I walked up to my truck and found the window down on the first failure. The second broke yesterday when I attempted to lower the window. I am a loyal Ford customer. I am 44 years old and between me, my wife, and child, we have owned a total of 14 Ford products. I am very concerned with the amount of complaints I am seeing with this product. If Ford does not make this right by conducting a recall, they will be losing many very loyal customers.

Came out to my car after work and the window was down. It had rained that afternoon the whole truck was wet. I tried to roll it up and the window made an awful grinding noise like there was sand or glass caught in the gears. On my way home it started to rain again. The rain blew in the window and I couldn't drive. I pulled over and had to wait for it to stop while the rain poured into my car. I went to Ford for advice and the mechanic got in my car pushed the switch for no more than 1 second, told me it was a common repair, the regulator, and told me it was $400 to repair the issue. I know other Ford owners who have had the same problem and the same experience with Ford. This is absurd!
