Gear slipped out of park as I was exiting vehicle. I had not yet closed the door and the truck began to move down the driveway. I was caught by the door and dragged along until the door threw me to the ground, injuring my back. The truck came to rest on both of my legs. I was able to pull out my left leg easily resulting in just a few cuts, scrapes and partial black and blue spots. Wounds all heeled themselves. However my right was thoroughly pinned and I had to pull long and hard to remove it from under the tire resulting in lost flesh at my ankle bone to right below my knee and about 4 to 5 inches wide.

Noticed leakage under front left tire. All transmission fluid had leaked out. Transmission oil line rusted through. Had previous leakage which I repaired with a piece of high pressure line. Checked metal lines of transmission oil cooling system and found numerous areas rusted out and ready to burst. Had truck towed to dealer to replace cooling system lines. Was told corrosion is a common problem with the lines on F150. Can't understand why if this is a common problem Ford does not notify owners about possible preventive action to deal with the corrosion or use non-corrosion materials for pressure lines.

Over the past seven years I have a few incidents were when I put the truck in reverse, it actually rolled forward before I slammed on brakes; stopped; put gear shift in park; moved to reverse and went on. But I always had to completely stop and park. It doesn't happen often - in seven years, perhaps 8 or 9 times. This past Friday was the worst, but I was facing down in my mother's drive-way. But still...I checked for a recall and found none. Just fyi..

I was driving threw town last June & all the sudden my check engine light came on & truck started running really rough & acted like it was starving for gas or fire so I took my truck to a parts store & had code read it showed a miss fire @ #6 cylinder / spark plug it cost me almost $1,200 to get it fixed. That was for all 8 plugs & coils for really needs to fix there design flaw on the 4.6L & 5.4L engine there is no reason a vehicle should cost that much just to change plugs just cause they don't want to fix there mess up to make it more affordable to the public.they say till the NHTSA issues a recall they will ignore the problem with the spark plugs & all the issues that come with them since they changed the motors designs. Thank you conserned consumer/firefighter [xxx] please take some action in this matter. Information redacted pursuant to the Freedom Of Information Act (FOIA), 5 U.S.C. 552(B)(6).

I have a 2007 F150 supercrew cab truck. I was driving down a parking lot when the truck made a huge grinding sound from the transmission. I then received a transmission malfunction warning light. The truck slammed into a stop causing driver and passenger to be tossed forward. I have read online of several others having the same problems with the 2007 F150 transmissions. Ford claims no defects on this model year. Yet on the internet there are several Ford owners with same transmission issues with truck. Ford needs to recall this transmission asap before someone gets hurt bad. I am the original owner with no accidents with truck. Truck is low mileage.

Had a bad miss at highway speeds and limped home 15 miles. Replaced spark plugs and in the process broke two in the head. One did not break completely off (#4) and I needed to borrow a prototype tool from lisle tool Corp. Removed and replaced plugs following Ford procedures. Truck still had a miss. Replaced all eight coil packs which fixed the problem. Total cost$380. Truck down for 6 days awaiting tools and parts. Developed a vibration at highway speeds. Original tires(pirelli) were separating. Replaced tires(976.00), much better. Still have slight vibration at highway speeeds. Found left front hub bearing seeping grease and feels stiff. Awaiting parts to do repairs. (98.00) had a transmission shudder at light load in overdrive. Flushed transmission with bg products and flush machine. Added new trans fluid and conditioner. Transmission now shudders at all speeds when hot. Will order new filter and replace. Will add friction modifier and try again. Have to tow another vehicle this weekend and am afraid to do so. I am completely blown away that these problems could happen to any vehicle starting at 48,000 miles. All maintenance has been performed with top of the line products. Have been a Ford owner all my life and am completely dis-satisfied with the performance of this supposed number one selling truck. The sticker prices of these trucks should be a bunch less since cheaply produced chinese parts are so prevalently used. Not happy.

I was accelerating from a stop and vehicle shut off. I am 8mths pregnant and was stuck on the side of the road for over a 1/2 hour in -45 degree weather waiting for tow truck, because vehicle would not start. Mechanic looked at vehicle and found #9 fuse for fuel pump blown. Fuse replaced, and vehicle ran for 30seconds and electrical plug to driver control module began to smoke and melt. Driver control module and electrical plug replaced, and vehicle runs. I would have like to have been notified by Ford to avoid my stranded experience in -45 degree weather. This was a huge safety risk and it can be avoided. Ford should have located this device near the fuse box or under hood by fire wall plenty of room and same amount of wire.

On the above listed date, while driving in rush hour traffic in a busy metropolitan city my drive shaft center support bearing allowed the drive shaft of my 2007 Ford F150 to slip backwards completely detaching from the transmission. Luckily, my speed at that time was only 10-15mph. When calling the for dealership to inquire about replacing the part or advise the sales person was only interested in selling me an entire drive shaft and adamantly stated the part in which I was searching was not obtainable in no possible way. After searching for the exact part on Ford's parts website I did locate the individual part allowable for order online. My main concern at this time is there was no regard for the tremendous safety hazard of this particular device or piece of equipment, moreover there was more concern with obtaining a larger sell. After reading online I have found other issues with this exact device or parts pertaining to it's function but there does not seem to be any recall or investigation regarding these matters. I am only addressing this issue because of the definite safety risks that are at hand and to advise to other owners of this year make and model to have your vehicle inspected for this possible safety hazard. Also, to the Ford Motor Company, being a massive entity in the vehicle development and sales industry I was appalled to learn of no existing investigations in this matter. Please, for the safety of the families driving your product alone with my family as well, please take an initiative in further investigating this matter. Thank you, satisfied but dissatisfied customer.

On 08/14/13 I was at a bank in the city of fairfield ca. 94533, there was an accident in the parking lot, which is a 1 direction entrance, myself and several vehicles had to back out of the lot. As I preceded to accelerate to exit the lot, I heard a loud thump. The next thing I knew was I was unable to move. I exited my vehicle as others who were in the parking lot of the bank approached me and asked if that was my drive shaft hanging down. When I bent down to look I noticed that it had broken at the weld at the yoke of the transmission. When I returned home after being towed, I went on line to see of any other situations of drive shafts braking on Ford trucks, and I have found several, which one broke and the driver lost control and had an accident with massive vehicle damage. I went to the local Ford dealer, and they said they have no recalls with that issue. But Ford has had several complaints of a loud thumping when the vehicle is being placed in gear which is all a result of driveline and drive train problems. My concern is that if I had been traveling at highway speeds and this had happened, the drive-line would have dug into the asphalt and perhaps flipped my truck. Killing myself and perhaps others. I also called Ford customer care center in Michigan, but their response is that there has been no complaints or recalls. To which I informed the representative that there were several blogs on line of people having drive-line problems on the Ford F150 trucks. I was in a parking lot backing up when my incident occurred but what happens when it occurs on the highway with children in the vehicle. I am now presently without a vehicle until I am able to have repairs done and I have a $600 monthly car note. I feel that this is a defect that Ford needs to be responsible for taking care of.

The vehicle gear shift can be moved at anytime without depressing the brake or the release button both when driving at 60 mph or the vehicle is parked in my yard. Easily a child can move the vehicle into gear and start it rolling or bring it to a dead stop while driving on the highway by just bumping into it. I contacted Ford and they were unwilling to help with this obvious safety issue. Which will now cost me over $800 to fix. This amount seems excessive and I fear will keep many people who experience this dangerous problem from fixing it because the vehicle otherwise performs fine. I have contacted salvage companies who have stated that their price on this part is what it is because they can sell these parts all day indicating that this is a common problem. Ford will not recognize the defect in the vehicle. How long should a shifter lever last? I'm 48 yrs old, I have owned many vehicles some with many more miles than this one and I have never had an issue with this part. Hopefully you can persuade the Ford Motor Company to do the right thing and stand behind their products and institute a recall for this part.

The contact owns a 2007 Ford F-150. The contact stated that while driving 50 mph the electronic all wheel drive shifted from two wheels to four wheel drive independently. The contact stated that the two front tires locked up when the failure occurred. This caused the vehicle to slide to a stop. As a result of the failure, the drive train split in half. The VIN was not available. The failure and current mileage was 50,000.

Vehicle shakes at low speed violently. Did research on the web this is a common problem with Ford trucks. Stories of getting the run around from the dealer for shaking new truck to expensive repairs that didn't remedy the problem. I'm a family man with 6 kids and limited means which means I will attempt to fix this myself because I can't afford a pro-tech to tell me the shaking is normal for Ford trucks as in the stories posted all over web dating back several years. I'm still paying for my truck for about another year $647 a month bought it new in 07 zero down which it seems that I will end up with zero. Wife and kids can't ride in the truck until I fix it because she has done something in one day that it seems is taking you guys several years to do. She deemed our family car unsafe and dangerous. Oh well I suppose there might be a certain amount a people that have to die first before this Agency acts. I remember the roll over tire thing. Lets hope I'm not one of them because that would leave my wife on the hook for rest of the truck payments she's a great stay at home mother but that's not gonna pay off this truck mc shaky. I bet that last part made you smile.wish me luck and do your job. I gotta go try to do mine.

While driving at a 15 mph (1000 rpms) truck would knock and try to stall when coming to a stop and almost cause an accident. I would have to press the gas pedal to kept it from stalling or put into neutral and press the gas to keep it from stalling. Took it to Ford dealership on 4/24/2007 and they said that the cam phasers were the problem of my engine trying to stall. As I did my research online this seems to be a big problem with the 5.4L 3 valve engines from Ford.

2007 F 150 king ranch spark plugs break when removing them (Ford cheap spark plug system). The truck also pull/tugs like if your transmission is missing however, I've been to the dealer multiple times for ignition coil issues. They said I need to change spark plugs. These spark plugs Ford said was to last 100,000 miles.

Vehicle was purchased used from local Ford dealer 10 months prior (75,000 miles), and was a dealer maintained vehicle. I drove vehicle 3,000 miles since purchase. While driving at 20 mph, I experienced sudden and severe vibration making the vehicle difficult to control. I was able to pull vehicle to side of road but could not move vehicle > 1 mph without severe vibration. Problem was from complete failure of drive shaft center support bearing. There were no previous indications of impending failure. The failure was sudden, unexpected and complete. I have safety concerns about vehicle controllability should a bearing failure occur at highway speed. In addition the bearing is located in close proximity to the fuel tank. Shattered bearing parts could potentially penetrate the fuel tank. The bearing is a non-serviceable part and the entire driveshaft must be purchased at a cost of $1,000, making bearing change prior to failure highly unlikely.

I have had three incidents of the engine surging/revving when in a stopped position engaged in drive gear and another one while in reverse. Each time I stepped on the brake with both feet to try to keep the vehicle from moving but it continued to lunge ahead anyway. I took it into the dealer. They said Ford had a fail-safe built in--that I was not in danger but they reprogrammed it with a computer. Seemed ok for awhile. Last night it happened again but reverse while I was backing up in a parking lot. I even had skid marks trying to stop it this time. Also, the transmission pauses/coasts before engaging into the next gear. I have an appointment to take it in for service, but I am concerned about the risks of having a collision, damaging property, or hurting someone--including myself if I end up hitting something. So far, when it has occurred, I was fortunate not to be in heavy traffic or tight quarters! I hope this can be remedied once and for all.
