As I was driving with my daughter on board slow speed crossing an intersection in Anch.,Ak. Suddenly loud noises from the front. Managed to get it off the road and daughter got out with her smart phone and took pics. Told me to move it to safe place on a side street. Got out shook the wheels. Nothing. looked behind drivers front wheel. Tie rod had dropped out or bounced out from steering knuckle. Daughter called used car dealer and within 15 min they had a slide back there and a loaner truck.

Pictures taken by all. We agreed nothing seen like that before. Was told Ford switched to a Nylock nut instead of traditional castle nut and cotter pin.Got the truck back 2-3 days later. No history-no recalls. Lucky we weren't doing 60 on the highway. Want to commend Lybergers car/truck sales of Anch., Ak. and specifically Mr. Martyn T. Seale and his mgr. for fast, attentive, no hassle care and service.
