F-150 Lariet 3.5l_V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 650 miles

Purchased 2016 Ford F150 Lariet on December 12, 2016 from Mountain View Ford in Chattanooga TN. At 650 miles service engine light came on. On January 17th, 2017 checked truck into the Mountain View Service department. They stated it fouled a plug but would not provide which one - said they were not required to do that. At 782 miles check engine light came on again.

On January 31st 2017 had Mountain View come pick the truck up on a row back. hey stated it was a coil wire this time, however wanted to keep the truck and drive it some to make sure they fixed the problem. On Feb 2nd, 2017 brought the truck back on row back with 872.4 miles. The invoice shows it had 865- NOT TRUE. I took a picture of my mileage for proof. This means someone at the Mountain View Service center put 90 miles on my new truck to make sure the service engine light did not re-appear. At 1143 miles, check engine light came on for the 3rd time. I was on my way on from out of town, therefore it had 1234.5 miles once I parked it. On 3/20/17 Mountain View Ford picked my truck up on a row back. I then contacted Ford Corporation office and opened a Lemon Law complaint. Ford Corporation was at first wonderful to work with, and continued to keep updated. On 3/23/2017- Ford Corporation called and advised us they have called in the Engineer to work with Mountain View Ford because it is throwing over 200 codes and they do not know what is wrong with our truck. On 3/27/17, Mountain View Ford called and said they were going to change the injectors and if that did not work they wanted to replace the heads... but can not say that there is a problem with heads. They are trying whatever they can to find what the issue is.

On 3/28/17 Mountain View Ford called and said changing the injectors did not work so they want to replace the heads. My husband said NO - if you do not know for sure that is the problem do not change or touch the heads. I later called Ford Corporation and spoke to the rep that has our case open. She stated since we REFUSED SERVICE- they are closing our case. We have purchased a Lemon. I loved the truck and if they would have replaced it I would have been happy to keep the Ford truck. This is the first Ford vehicle my husband or I have ever had and I will now say - NEVER PURCHASE FORD. They know we have purchased a bad truck and will not honor their product. They want to experiment on a Truck with over a 60,000 sticker price at our expense. I have been without a vehicle to drive for over a week and continue to make the payments and insurance on this truck. I cannot take it back and just say keep it because it would ruin our credit and also we would loose since I traded a GMC YUKON for this piece of crap. Aslo, we have contacted the Mountain View Ford sales rep that sold us the truck and the General Manager and both have said all they can say is we can come trade the truck in. We all know the day you drive a new vehicle off it looses value. I am now in the process of trying to locate a Lemon Law attorney in the Chattanooga Tennessee Area. The truck will be delivered back tomorrow via row back, however it will sit here because we are not able to drive it with the service engine light on.

F-150 King Ranch 3,5 Ecoboost

  • Automatic transmission
  • 1,670 miles

The vehicle lost power and clattered on acceleration. The dealer mechanic found a bad plug and stated it was defective from the factory. My whole problem with the vehicle shutting down is the safety factor. For the vehicle to lose all power while driving down the highway in traffic is extremely dangerous. You lose all acceleration, power steering and this could cause major traffic accidents and fatalities.
