I would think that if Ford had a good engine that the MORONS would would not fix something that is not broker. To put cheap aluminum heads with defective spark plugs should at least have the common courtesy to fix their defective work. For $60,000 I would think that it would last more then 55,000 miles. All I want is for Ford to replace the heads, I would even be willing to install them.

Ford needs to come clean and admit the problem is with a design fault, recall the vehicles, fix the problems and redesign the heads so this doesn't happen again.

I own A Ford F-350 with the 6.8 v10.I currently have 115,00 miles on it. In the last 12,000 miles I have blown 3 spark plugs in two different cylinders.This has caused me three road side emergencies. Having to have my truck and my trailer towed back home. Each time my Ford ejects a spark plug it costs me 225.00, not including towing and the money I lost in not completing my work for the day and duration of the repair. I contacted Ford on this issue to see if this was a recall after later hearing that a vast majority of Ford owners are having the same issues. They told me their were no recalls and my vehicle was not involved in any customer satisfaction programs. They also said to contact my local ford dealer if my vehicle requires attention. I contacted several dealers and they wanted me to purchase new heads for the truck ( at my expense ) or have them install helicoils ( at my expense),which some of the dealers told me that the plugs were still failing in the helicoils. I have been told by ford to have the plugs torqued to the appropriate setting, which I did.....they still failed! I am tired of having to be towed! I am tired of having to pay for something ford screwed up! I am tired of the inconveniences! Everything mechanical will eventually fail at some point...I understand that. However after reading all the forums on the internet and talking with the service techs at Ford I am convinced this is a design flaw that should be recalled. Engine's should not be ejecting spark plugs,..especially a total of three so far.

This is the 3rd spark plug ejection I have had. This vehicle is maintained according to the Ford manual and I am tire of paying to fix what is an engineering problem Ford refuses to recognize. The other complaint is I have had to replace exhaust manifold bolts 3 times and 2 times they were the so called improved alloys. Don't these engineers know threading a steel part into aluminum creates a galvanic reaction (a battery) and this causes corrosion and failure? I think I learned this in 7th grade.
