As many of us know, it's not that easy these days to make ends meet in the construction business. What makes it impossible is putting a lot of money down on an expensive piece of equipment that is supposed to make you money but, instead, spends more time in the shop than it does on the road. I own a 2005 f-350 one ton dump with the 6.0 turbo diesel engine. Beginning at apprx. 30,000 miles I would experience loss of power on hills or under load. I brought the truck to my mechanic who replaced both the fuel filters (expensive). The truck seemed to run better for about a thousand miles and then started doing it again. I replaced the filters again and my mechanic thought I possibly got some bad fuel. After about 500 miles the truck started doing it again,only much worse.The truck would run fine for about two miles and then start running rough , losing cylinders, and completely die.I would have to sit on the side of the road for five minutes and then start it again. It was starving for fuel. My mechanic dropped the tank so he could look inside and noticed the inside coating flaking off like old paint. I needed a new tank. Never again will I buy a ford. I had been very loyal to them up until this point. It's obvious they are not concerned quality anymore. The truck always has a problem with it whether it be electrical, front end, or appearance (it's rusting out already).
