I purchased this 1999 Ford F-550 (new) in October of 1999. Since the purchase of this vehicle the transmission has been replaced 4 times. As of today this truck has been in service for 78 days and counting. Ford continually replaces the transmission but they are not solving the problem. I have already sent complaints to Ford Motor Co. and their response was to take it to my local Ford service department.

I am a self employed Landscape contractor and sole provider for my family and can no longer afford to be with out this vehicle. It has cost me countless amounts of revenue and most important it has cost me clients that could no longer wait for work to be performed.

As a present owner of 3 Fords (96' F-350, 99' F-550, and 03' F-350)and past owner of 2 Fords(83' Ranger, and 89' Bronco) it disgusts me that Ford treats their clients like this. I am glad to say that I am going to get rid of all three Fords that I presently own and take my business elsewhere.
