I was driving down a 35 mph road. When I stepped on the brake to stop front passenger side wheel completely buckled under the car. I skidded approximately 40 feet into a parked car. Upon further inspection the axile was broken in half which happened before it hit the parked car. The complete wheel assembly is now sitting in next to the car in the auto body shop. At the present time, Ford Motor Co. Does not want to acknowledge any responsibility for what happened to the car.

Rear tires have been replaced four times with 60000 mile tires and it is eating the tires in less than 20000 miles. The rear of the car is vibrating and bouncing at all speeds but is worst at 55 to 65 mph. I have tried to get it fixed several times and the dealerships keep saying it is the alignment. Alignment has been corrected and verified several times with no result. All recall work to date has been completed by dealerships.

Brakes to this date continue to be a problem; grinding, squeeling, etc; cruise control sticks, airconditioner leaks, sometimes ignition switch turns sometimes not, car vibrates excessively, car speeds up and slows down on its own, and stalls occassionally...received recall on rear drum axle but nothing from Ford on anything else. I do not feel safe in this vehicle.
