It all began with the struts. My brother had come over to put a new timing belt on, in order to do so he had to jack the car up so the engine could be lifted. The cars tire hung for about 3 hours being that it had been up in the air for that long. So the strut was expanded for a long period of time and when he lowered the car back down the strut would not collapse, all of a sudden a big thud was to be heard and the front end then came down. My brother acted and said "the strut needs to be changed." Well I let it go for a while since I had no money.. After a few the struts started making horrible noises when turning, Im talking like big clunk going around turns, pulling out of parking spaces, hitting speed bumps. Well I rounded up some money went to the local auto zone and got struts along with strut tops. Installed dem babies and the clunking noises had disappeared. Here the umm strut tops have bearings and when you go and turn the strut turns too because its all interconnected through the steering knuckle(short story the strut top bearings were shot.) Hey, wasn't expecting anything else well wasnt in the mood haha. And of course my wheel bearing goes, to take diagnose a wheel bearing problem, it almost sounds like your tires about to fall of in speeds of over 60 mph, Also at low speeds you can here grinding noises. In the front steering knuckles ford decided to press the bearing straight in, so in order to fix this problem you have to remove the entire steering knuckle and go to a local shop where they have a machine press. Should cost ya like 10-20 bucks. Anyways I was so glad after I had delt with that situation, afterwards I decided to go to Auto Zone again and buy rotors(due to pitting and rust taking over.) I was thinking to myself what possibly could go wrong now. Why in the heck did I think that!! The acceleration had gotten real bad within 4 days of replacing the new bearing and rotors. The engine would literally buck badly when maybe putting the pedal down half way at 2k. Well I tried all kinds of tests, alternator nope, battery nope, wire connections nope, spark plugs nope. In a desperate feud my only resort was to call my brother the mechanic. Who, BTW, is awesome at diagnostics, tells me the coil packs in Fords go very easily, especially in ford focus's. In a chance to save my precious money hole, A trip to auto-zone would settle things up. And yes, of course it was the coil packs. Now tomorrow I plan on heading to Harry's u pull it and get my chance at some change whoop.
