problem #1

Focus SE

  • Automatic transmission
  • 45,000 miles

Apparently Ford knows of the problems with the transmissions going out at low mileage, but won't acknowledge the problem. I have found out this is still a problem with the newer Focus as well. If my car had 145,000 miles on it I wouldn't be so aggravated, but 45,000? I bought the car with only 7000 miles and it gave me no troubles and out of the blue the transmission goes out. The mechanics I have spoken with say they see a large number of the Focus' come in with the same issue, the 2nd gear band breaking or just shattering. I'm a police officer and have driven Crown Vics for years and loved them so that's why I went with the Ford, but now I'm seriously looking to go back to Japanese. COME ON FORD, LISTEN TO YOUR CUSTOMERS AND FIX THE PROBLEMS ONCE AND FOR ALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!
