Focus SE V4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 61,300 miles

The first problem occurred when I found out that the extended warranty that I paid for was not extended at all. The salesman at Waldorf Ford informed me (8/16/2016) that he knowingly sold me an extended warranty that only lasted thirty days after I brought the vehicle. He also failed to informed me the warranty was only for the first seven years (7 years or 125,000 miles) of the cars life and not my ownership.

Second problem occurred when the Ford Dealership in Lanham, Maryland charged me $523.30 ($149.00 to diagnosis the problem that I had previously had diagnosed, $122.00 for the hub and drum, and a whopping $356.86 for labor). Third problem was after the right rear bearing was fixed. The associate informs me that, oops, the mechanic now notices that the other side needs to be replaced also and this is would now cost $658 and some change and would now require them keeping my car overnight so that he can work on it in the morning when the part shows up by lunch time so I could get the car back by the following evening of the next day.

I feel totally jerked around by Ford and am spending too much money and am getting nothing from it. They (Waldorf Ford) even said they could not help me with a loaner car for the time that they would have my vehicle and I quote, "We don't do that." I want to know for all the money I am paying for those vehicle warranties, exactly what do you (Ford) do for me? Because right now I feel totally taken advantage of. SAS

Focus S 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 75,000 miles

I knew my wheel bearings needed to get replaced AGAIN! When I took it in, the noise was not only coming from the drivers side bearing but also the bearing in the middle of the axle. Both needed to be replaced. Passenger side was fine since I replaced it 8 months ago. But I'll probably be back to replace it again!

Focus S 2.0L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 20,000 miles

The car started to make loud noises as I drove. The faster I went the louder it got. At first I though it was the engine. So I took it in and it turns out both front wheel bearing needed to be replaced!

Focus SE 2.0L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

Replaced the left rear wheel bearing/ brake drum assembly and the right rear wheel bearing now failed. I cannot get anything out of anyone at multiple Ford dealers about this problem. I will never buy another Ford product again.

Focus SE 2.0L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 95,000 miles

Went to replace wheel bearing in rear of car and when I pressed the bearing out the land for the bearing crumbled and fell apart. I had to buy the entire drum and bearing assembly. this will be the fifth wheel bearing this car has gotten. Again Ford says this is a very rare problem.

Focus SE 2.0L I4

  • Automatic transmission
  • 90,000 miles

Replaced wheel bearing at 75000 and bearing failed again 15000 miles later. Dealer says wheel bearings are not a common problem with this car and that they barely ever see them fail, even though this is the fourth wheel bearing I've put in this car.
