Focus 3.2L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 58,000 miles

On vacation, 1000 miles from home 7-5-14, car would not start after several stops sightseeing. Took car in to Auto Shop 7-6-14, verify battery is fine. Return home from vacation on 7-13-14 no more issues (we think). On 7-16-14, at the end of the work day (30 miles from home) ignition will not crank over until 3rd attempt. On 7-17-14, same scenario. Then on 7-19-14, run couple errands in morning, get into car at 11:30 a.m. ignition/starter will not crank/start. Call husband, verify battery is good, he has same issue as I; car will not start. Call tow company (AAA-Plus) tow driver gets car to crank long enough to get ready to connect for tow, then car dies. Dealership service writer calls me on 7-21 and 7-22-14 says car is fine, can not simulate problem. I have my husband speak to service writer who speaks in some way that service writer now seems to understand problem and will try to see if they can figure out problem today 7-23-14.
