On January 14, 2022, at approximately 5:20 P.M. my wife was traveling southbound on Pleasant Hill Road in Lafayette, California towards the freeway entrance when the Ford Focus Electric she was driving displayed a Stop Safely Now message and almost immediately thereafter lost motive power at the busiest intersection in the City of Lafayette. She was able to steer the car to the shoulder since she was in the right hand lane. The vehicle would not move and the steering wheel locked up. She called for assistance and I drove down and exchanged cars with her within approximately 15 minutes. After approximately 10 minutes of trying, I was able to get the vehicle to turn off and to turn on again without the Stop Safely Now warning and was able to return the approximately 1.5 miles to our residence. The sudden unexpected loss of motive power and loss of ability to accelerate is extremely dangerous and frightening and that danger can be extreme when traveling on roads without shoulders or in any lane except the right lane on a freeway.

This vehicle is experiencing a relapse of the same issues that led to a previous recall. It is experiencing fuel tank issues where the fuel gauge is unreliable and acts as though it is out of fuel despite reporting 1/4 tank. This has put the safety of occupants at risk as we were barely able to get off the highway in time before the vehicle came to a sudden and complete stop. The vehicle has not been inspected by the manufacturer as to do so will result in exorbitant out of pocket expense since Ford claims to have fixed the recall issue. That however, is not the case when it reoccurs a year later. Neither police nor insurance have inspected the vehicle as I was unaware that was a possibility The warning lamps that displayed were similar to a vehicle stalling out, which should not happen in an automatic transmission vehicle. It needs to be noted that this is a reoccurring issue of an allegedly fixed recall and Ford refuses to take any action on the matter.

my 2014 Ford Focus had a check engine light sensor alert on October 4th 2021. I scheduled for an appointment to have the vehicle serviced on October 18th 2021(closest time available). During the two week period I had noticed when I pumped gas that the engine seemed to have stalled when I tried to turn on the ignition. The second time the vehicle finally turned on but there was a low rumble noise. I gassed up a second time and I just heard a low rumble from the vehicle when I started the ignition. on 10/16/2021, I was low on gas but my low tank sensor did not go off so I figured I was okay to drive until I came to a gas station. My vehicle ended up stalling on a freeway while I was driving and I started to decelerate from 65 MPH to 60 and slowly decreasing. Nearly avoiding an accident I had my hazard lights on and slowly made my way to the emergency lane where I came to a complete stop and called for a tow. Upon getting my car serviced they determined that I needed a new fuel tank, fuel pump and purge valve due to the tank being warped. I had run out of gas, but my gauge and sensor did not detect that. Apparently this was a recall item a few years back but the manufacture said that my VIN was not on the recall list so I will have to pay this out of pocket.

I know exactly what's wrong because it's a recall that's on certain Ford focuses of this year but apparently not mine for some reason even though I have the problem but it's the emissions control valve that's stuck open my car stalls out after I fuel. I'm having an extreme loss of power sometimes just being me having to push the pedal more down to losing all acceleration all together to where it shuts down the cruise control when I'm on the highway. It's running real rough on idle all of which are signs of this recall but because it's not covered under my car I'm having to pay $100 just to put the car in the shop to have them look at it and tell me what I already know and then I'm going to have to pay whatever it costs to repair it which I'm sure it's going to be 3 to $500 for a problem they've already admitted to lying about before and obviously are lying about now when they say that this series of Ford focus 2014 was not affected so now I have to pay out of pocket for being a Ford customer so I hope it's worth it to them to lose me as a customer for the rest of my life because of something that would have cost them two or $300. And my family for generations have been lifelong ford buyers my family is well known at our local trotter Ford my grandparents literally buy a new car every year and say they're taking their business elsewhere after finding out about this so I don't see where they think they're saving money by lying like they are.

Jan.26th 2018 I purchased a 2014 Ford Focus SE from Pacifico Ford. I was told by salesman No Recalls and No safety Issues. The car was on the lot with new inspection stickers. I was given a clean car fax. I was deceived. The car was returned the next day for driving improperly. It gave too much gas or not enough, was shuddering and sticking, steering issues, drifted to the right, and steering wheel had to be crooked to park to adjust the wheels, and car had a burn smell. Ford found transmission problem, engine leaking oil, clutch problem, cpu issues, failed road test and leaky seals. A week later, I was told all was fixed as new. April 23rd 2018 the car malfunctioned disabling me for life. While I was parking, the car accelerated forward, slammed into a barrier, roared up in the air, slammed down a slope and into a tree. Malfunction codes from an auto collision center were it was towed were achieved, one of which is an acceleration malfunction code. No air bags deployed, no warning. I found out after the malfunction there were many safety issues and recalls that I was not told of day of sale. Ford, a once trusted company, disabled me for life.

I have had so much trouble with this car I am upside down on it. Now all the electrical stuff seems to be shorting. I was driving and my fuel gauge kept going to zero then back up to half a tank. Then my check engine light came on. My horn doesn't work which is is huge safety concern for me those are just the new issues I also have had the tcm replaced twice and it never made a difference to the car.

My main concern now is the dash board message that reads ( steering loss stop safely ) I have lost all power steering of my car and cannot drive it. I almost had a wreck when this happened. The car is now parked waiting to find out if this a defect as was on earlier models of this same model. I am also experiencing gas gauge is irregular readings before and after driving as well as very poor gas mileage code P1450

My vehicle was part of recall NHTSA 18S32. My vehicle was serviced at tuscaloosa Ford in tuscaloosa, al in 2019. At the time I took the car in my gas fuel needle would drop to empty periodically. When I picked the car up, everything appeared repaired however when I was leaving the dealership the needle dropped to empty. I had not gotten out of the parking lot of the dealership. I returned to the service department and was told to just continue monitoring the problem and keep my tank half full. I called to check on replacement of the gas tank on 1/25/21, as I had run out of gas because life got in my way and I had failed to monitor close enough. I have now been told that the day my car was pick D up and I was told to continue monitoring, that it was determined I did not need a new gas tank. This is bull!!! I have monitored this problem for two years now and my vehicle will obviously be useless as a trade-in. I cannot be the only person that should have gotten a new tank under 18S32 and did not. Please review this complaint. I do not recall the date my vehicle was repaired under this recall so choose may1, 2019.

The contact owned a 2014 Ford Focus that she purchased from pacifico Ford, Inc.(6701 essington ave, philadelphia, pa 19153). She stated that the vehicle would stall while driving at various speeds without warning soon after purchase. She took the vehicle back to the dealer and after a week, the vehicle was returned to the contact. Upon return of the vehicle, the vehicle independently accelerated while attempting to park without warning. Due to the failure, the vehicle slammed into a barrier and flipped over into slope and landed into a tree. The air bags did not deploy upon impact. The contact was assisted by a bystander and was taken out of her vehicle. The authorities arrived at the scene and the contact was taken to a hospital to be treated for her injuries. Since the accident, the contact stated that she was treated for a concussion, four different brain injuries, a broken neck, a broken upper and middle back, a broken left hip disc, and a broken left knee. A police report was not filed at the scene. The vehicle was destroyed at the scene and was towed to an independent mechanic where it remained in there possession. The dealer nor the manufacturer had yet to be notified of the failure. Upon investigation, the contact discovered that there were two recalls on the vehicle for NHTSA campaign numbers: 18V735000 (fuel system, gasoline) and 20V331000 (latches/locks/linkages). The failure mileage was approximately 30,000.

1. clutch slips in transmission causing vehicle to stall or reach dangerous RPM's before switching into another gear. 2. repair was denied by Ford stating that it wasn't related to the current recall but was the clutches that needed to be replaced. Clutches are going out due to the tcm that was recalled on the vehicle. 3. horn has decided to stop working along with controls on the steering wheel due to a wiring issue with the vehicle. Fuses have been changed ensuring that it is a wiring issue. 4. hazard lights as well as half the buttons on the dash including radio, etc. Have also decided to stop working due to a wiring issue in the vehicle. No hazards making it a risk and unsafe to pull vehicle off of road in case of an emergency. 5. Ford dealership that car was taken to stated all recalls were completed but when VIN is entered through Ford website it states that all recalls are incomplete. Ford sent me a notice for repairs on transmission stating it will be almost $1400 to replace clutches in transmission. There would be no problems with the clutches if there was never anything wrong with the transmission control module to begin with. Repairing the transmission should not be on the owner of these vehicles and Ford should be liable for the repairs to an issue that was their responsibility to correct from the beginning and was not corrected in a timely manner.

Ongoing electrical issues that may or may not be related. Vehicle will "stall" while in motion or while powered on but stopped at a light for example. It's an electric vehicle so the cause of the stall is unclear. Vehicle will be inoperable for 1-10 minutes, including power steering while the system resets. This happens usually at slow speeds or while stopped - in reverse, climbing hills, stopped at traffic lights. The problem was "fixed" in October 2019 and we were told that something doing while addressing one of the electrical recalls had caused the problem. Now it's happening again and Ford can't tell us why. We've been stranded pulling out of our driveway in the path of on coming traffic, blocking one lane roads in our neighborhood and at intersections.

The vehicle stalls out at the red lights while waiting for the light to turn green. The vehicle completely shuts down. Then my daughter has to put on the hazard (she is 17) and put it park, then pray the vehicle starts again. Just had the 2 recalls done however was told we need by a purge valve which I found online with these year models when I look up 2014 Ford Focus shutting down during waiting for a red light. It also struggles to get in 1st and 2nd gear. It shutters and jumps. Once you get the vehicle over 40-50 mph on the road it feels okay but when you have to come to a complete stop, good luck. My daughter is terrified to drive the vehicle. When I went to walker Ford, I was told there was nothing they can do about this issue however its all over the internet. What can I do to help my 17 year old daughter feel more comfortable driving?

For some time now I have been trying to get 2 recalls fixed on my vehicle : 18V735 and 16V643. When I previously called the dealership they did not have the parts yet for the recalls. Just yesterday while driving with a passenger in the rear seat of the car the rear door came open by itself and now will not close. I called the dealership (loganville Ford in monroe Georgia) who told me 1. that they could not get me in for the repair until next Wednesday (9/9) and 2. they would not provide a loaner vehicle. I explained first that how was I supposed to drive a vehicle for a week with a door that would not close? and second this is my only mode of transportation, this is not something I did to my vehicle, this is a safety defect by the manufacturer that needs to be addressed and Ford and / or the dealership needed to provide a loaner or a rental (at the manufacturers expense) until the safety repairs can be addressed and made. I further explained that safety recalls should take precedence over other repairs as it is a hazard and someone can get hurt. Both Ford and the dealership are both denying use of a loaner and I am yet to hear back about a rental at the manufacturers expense and I do not think it will come to fruition. I am going to reiterate, this is not something that I did to my vehicle, this is a serious safety recall that needs to be addressed. If the latches can be replaced on all 4 doors and the fuel tank deformation can all be repaired in a few hours I have no problem waiting on the vehicle, however we know that these repairs never take less than one day, all reports I read say it may take up to 4. that said, Ford needs to provide either a loaner or a rental at their expense, not mine. This is my last stop to get closure in this case, I have spoken to far too many people and am not getting anywhere, my next stop will be to the local and national news.

I was driving home when out of nowhere, my vehicle is starting to stall and I kept punching the gas and it was like the key was off. Luckily, even tho I was in traffic, I was in the right hand lane and there was a shoulder I was able to pull over on. You can turn it over and it quickly stalls. When I got my vehicle to be code read, it said, 'no fuel delivered to the fuel rail.' I could have caused or been in a horrible wreck if luck had not been that I was close to a shoulder to pull over at. I was on the highway driving in multiple lanes this is a safety issue

I want to fine a complaint against the Ford dealer. I have approximately 3 months with problem. It's because of gas evaporations. I had with me a latter that Ford send me to me for recall which I had to have it repaired and they want to charge me for it. Supposedly they repaired that, when they never did and proof of this is that there is the problem as well as the transmission they just marked done and they never did I, because I don't have the problem before and now I have it. They don't want to repaired those 2 factory failures. I want to see what can I do to they fix it at not cost since. It's a factory failure and I'm not the only one with that problem. That is a serious problem they said that in the latter they send me. I send you a picture I had. They took the another one.
