I bought my 2010 Ford Fusion in August of 2012 and since that time I have had nothing but problems. Starting in October 2013 the wrench light illuminated and my Ford would shake and nearly shut down and this happens about once a month to this day. I took my Ford to my local dealer and the EVAP Canister was replaced totaling $412.86. In early 2014 I received recall 13B17 which described my problem to a tee and I took my Ford to Airport Ford in Florence, KY where they nearly laughed me out of the service area when I mentioned my EVAP Canister problem. Airport Ford replaced the Throttle Body and sent me on my way with my check engine light still on and the same problems continued. I would never return to Airport Ford for anything.

My Ford then and now has a constant smell of gas fumes, which I thought would have gone away when I had a new gas tank installed by a local auto repair shop in the spring of 2015. Low and behold Ford had another recall on the fuel tank. I am asking for those expenses of $106.00 for the fuel tank and $195.00 for installation. In February I took my Ford to Mike Castrucci Ford in Alexandria, KY to have the fuel tank and purge valve replaced. I did not go into detail with this dealership with my prior three years of frustrations; they were kind but sent me on my way with check engine light on happily saying they would look at it for $89.99…

Other issues, when I fuel my Ford and try to start it clicks several times like it is flooded and starts after shaking and a few more times of clicking. My Ford stutters often while at stop signs and stop lights and I have to put in neutral while stopped so my Ford will not die.

Fusion SE 2.5L

On top of 2 Steering Racks put in within 20,000 miles of each other, Ford recalls 2011 & 2012 year, When the complaints are for 2010 year. When the car went in for the steering rack I informed Ford to fix the recalls issued on the care- Throttle Body and Wheel Lug Nuts), Within 2 weeks I had to have the car towed back to Ford, because it wouldn't Idle or stay running.

Ford tells me your Throttle Body is bad after 2 days. I asked Ford, You should of just replaced these parts?! The service man tells me "No the recall called for an update on the Module, no parts were replaced". SO you updated a Module on a bad part, Did you think it was going to work? Now fix it and I'm not paying for this or the towing! Ford complied. I recently filled the Gas tank up and the fumes were so bad of gas in the car, you can not even be within 20 feet of it. Don't Light a match either, Possible Corrosive Gas Tank. WTF !!!!!

I see Ford recalled the 2013 for gas leaks and corrosive tanks. Why do they skip this year? Because of this experience with Ford I will NEVER buy another CAR from THEM !!!

Fusion SE 2.5L

Major problem with the Fusion is the no gas cap. Spring broke and caused air to be able to get into the gas line. Cost money out of my pocket to fix Ford's mistake.
