Fusion LE 3.2L V6

  • Automatic transmission
  • 80,000 miles

This is an ongoing problem. Ford cannot find the cause. It first started before the car had 4000 miles. It has been in the shop more times than I can remember. The car would completely stop no matter how fast you would be driving. Lucky there was no accidents on the freeway but I am still afraid that our luck will run out! Turn the key off and then back on and it would start up and run fine for awhile. Computer would never give malfunction codes.

Ford replaced the throttle body and it would be fine for awhile and it would start acting up again. Then the recall for the throttle body came out and they replaced it again. Then it would work good for awhile. Then the whole problem would restart. It then would start to not start after trying to start the car would crank but no fuel would get to the engine. this happened several times. The car would sit for over night and would work fine. Took it to ford service and like always no computer codes and they could not find anything wrong. Now that the warranty is out I still get no satisfaction on ford finding the problem.

Ford service every time a problem came up they promised that a factory engineer would come here and investigate this problem but they never showed up. Letting the problem to fester so when the warranty runs out which is now I will be footing the bill. I was hurt at work and was medically retired so I cannot afford this crap. I think that the dealer took advantage of me since I got hurt at work had to file bankruptcy and let me purchase this car which I had no choice in which one that they would sell me stuck it to me!

Fusion

  • Automatic transmission
  • 60,000 miles

In 2016 my car stalled out 2x while driving. I found out there was a throttle body recall and Ford covered the replacement under extended warranty. Now in Jan 2017 the throttle body went out again because they installed a bad part and Ford won't cover the repair because the warranty is up. Has anyone had any luck getting Ford to change their mind and get it covered for the 2nd time?

throttle body problems. car hesitates and stalls

I have had the throttle body replaced previously due to the car stalling, losing power, dying. The car has continuously had problems with dying at different times at stops. Today, my car stalled at a light and I started back up and it kept dying. There was no acceleration power and the wrench and engine light came on. This is an extremely unsafe situation. I'm ready to be done with Ford all together. The dealerships aren't in any hurry to help either.
