Fusion Energi SE 1.6L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 3,200 miles

This is my second Ford car ever, was always a GM man. I traded my 2012 Fusion SEL for a 2013 Fusion SE ECO Boost, thought I was upgrading, NOT. When accelerating at times the car stays in motion and nothing happens, it is almost like in a movie when they do slow motion on a major accident and then suddenly the car takes off, it happens at any speed.

I have talked to the dealer about the issue, they can't do a thing because they can't duplicate it. One service manager told me it could be the RPM.s aren't high enough when trying to accelerate and it would cause the issue, HA, that's BS. The issue keeps happening. I was told, well stop when it happens and we will look right away. I am 30 min away from my dealer and, to be honest, don't trust all of them. But honestly, just stop in on something that shows no error code and because it doesn't always happen how do you duplicate it?

To be honest I am afraid to drive my car with this issue since it happens when entering the highway as well as on the streets. If I cause an accident because of this issue how do I prove it is a Ford defect since they can't find it? I am so sorry I bought this car and as it stands it may be my last Ford ever. I won't go to the other two American makers either. I do have an appointment for Nov 3 2013 for this issue let's see what happens. It seems I am not the only one with this issue, it is starting to pop up more with other Fusion owners.
