Fusion Hybrid LX 2.5L

  • Automatic transmission
  • 50,000 miles

My 2010 Ford Fusion hybrid steering went out. Thank God I was pulling up in my driveway and was still under warranty. Took it to Ford and they replaced it. They told me the steering had a motor in it and had to be replace. Cost to replace was almost $1600.00! 4 years later is out again!!! This is bullshit!!! I loved my Fusion until now!!! I'm so glad I didn't buy another Ford Fusion. Very disappointing!! Will not buy another Ford Fusion! There should be a recall on this bullshit!!

2010 Ford Fusion Hybrid. "Service Advance Trac" light has been coming on, and I think I've detected some loose steering of the vehicle. Dealer looked at it and determined there is a faulty steering angle sensor. Can only be fixed by replacing entire steering rack--$2250. I see on this list that others have had problems, and there was a recall for 2011 and newer models--but not my 2010? Has anyone been able to get only the sensor replaced--not the entire bleeping rack?
