problem #2

Fusion Hybrid S

  • Automatic transmission
  • 200 miles

The wipers on high are slower than any vehicle I have ever owned! I live in Florida where we get heavy rains on a nearly daily basis, this problem is very troubling and dangerous. It needs a recall!!!!!!

problem #1

Fusion Hybrid Titanium 2.0L Ivct I4 Hev

  • CVT transmission
  • 2,000 miles

I was driving home when it started raining. The wipers are automatic and rain sensory. The highest speed for the intermittent setting was not fast enough to clear the windshield so I switched manually to the high speed but the wipers still only moved as fast as the highest intermittent speed. Definitely not enough to clear the windshield in moderate rain let alone when heavy rain will come.

The Ford dealer claims that that is the fastest speed available and that the auto sensor will clear the windshield. Next time I will record the video and post. I do not believe Ford ever tested this vehicle in the rain and it is very dangerous if done so in a heavy down pour. I’m sure their answer will be to park it. Maybe this will remind me why I haven’t bought a Ford in 15 years?
