I feel that my Ford Ranger is an unsafe vehicle. I have had many problems with it since I bought it brand new. Everything stemming from holes in the floor to a faulty transmission and engine among faulty power windows and electrical on more than one occasion.. I just wonder what is next. I am worried about the future of this vehicle especially with its past track record. Please send me any information that may be of help to get Ford to buy my vehicle back. My email is jennetic@aol.com or sacroxx1@aol.com.

Suspension alignment--dealer has made two attempts to correct constant wandering of vehicle toward low side of road. Unable to correct, vehicle drifts unless constantly corrected. Brake system--first reported to dealer as severe grabbing/pulling to right (vehicle will almost change lanes). Rotors machined, then pulled left. Dealer tried same remedy again, returned to pulling right. Last attempt, tried to correct suspension/front-end alignment problems to alleviate braking problems. Head lights--failed without warning at interstate speed. Running lights continued to operate. Spontaneously turned on again after about three minutes. Dealer unable to diagnose/correct failure.

Ford Ranger 1999.when truck hit 100-150 miles, it started pulling to the left when you would brake. At 1000 miles, it started pulling to the right. By 1500 miles it would pull either way, or maybe not at all! now it is pulling hard hard left. If unaware or caught off guard, it will yank the steering wheel out of your hands.very dangerous!! I have almost hit other vehicles and even the cement freeway divider. I will let no-.one else drive.it is too unsafe...I also had a 1998 exact same truck-exact same problem, even after 7 service visits/ and days taken off work. Earnhardt was unable to fix the problem and Ford didn't know what it was.Ford finally bought the 1998 back from me and put me in this 1999....the '99 has not been in the shop, yet, until Ford manufacture can figure out a solution..on the 1998 that earnhardts tried to fix everything they could think of with no satisfaction!!! this process is very hard on my nerves and my love of Ford vehicles.it is an experience I never wanted to have to go thru again. In short: I believe this truck is very very dangerous and should not be on the highways or streets!( dot number: )

While traveling within the posted speed limit and approaching a green light at an intersection, two vehicles traveling at a safe distance ahead of me decided to stop at the green light to allow a police car through the intersection traveling perpendicular to us. I braked to stop thinking I had plenty of time. The brakes did not function as I think they should. Everything locked up and I bumped into the car in front of me. It was not a hard hit as I almost stopped. The car was not damaged but my truck had the bumper ruined and other relatively minor damage. I feel the brakes did not work as designed and the gentelman at the body shop says he has heard similar complaints from numerous Ford Ranger owners. Is there a history of this reported?

Traffic in front of my vehicle came to a complete stop, I stepped on the brakes, (no I did not pump them), the pickup took a lot of distance to come to a complete stop. I had probably three car lengths infront of me and I hit the trailer hitch of the pickup infront of me. I contacted the dealer where I purchased the vehicle and they told me it didn't fail. That was it.
